Dubai signs deal to build infrastructure in occupied Kashmir: Indian govt

Dubai has signed an accord to build infrastructure in Indian occupied Kashmir, the Modi government said on Monday, at a time when the region is seeing a resurgence in violence.
No figure for the value of the accord was given.
The memorandum of understanding by Dubai, one of the UAE's seven emirates, is the first investment agreement by a foreign government in the sensitive region following the stripping of Kashmir's autonomy and the division of the Muslim-majority state into two territories directly ruled from New Delhi.
The New Delhi government said the agreement will see Dubai building infrastructure including industrial parks, IT towers, multi-purpose towers, logistics centres, a medical college and a speciality hospital.
“The world has started to recognise the pace [at] which Jammu and Kashmir is traversing on the development bandwagon,” Indian Trade Minister Piyush Goyal said in a statement.
The statement said different entities from Dubai had shown keen interest in investment in Kashmir.
However, investment is fraught with risks in the heavily militarised region as evidenced by a spate of attacks on civilians and a widespread crackdown by security forces that has left several people dead.
On Monday, Indian authorities moved thousands of migrant workers in Kashmir to safer locations overnight while hundreds have fled the Himalayan valley after a wave of targeted killings.

Fake News.....

It is the responsibility of the ever incompetent MF foreign office of Pakistan. Find out the validity of this news, and record Pakistani official protest to the sob emiratis.

Although, it is not beyond the realm of possibilities for the uae to do this. If they sold out the Palestinians, the Kashmiris mean nothing to them.

This is why we should back the Iranians instead of the Arabs. The Gulf Arab rulers are treacherous snakes. Saddam knew it, shame he stopped at Kuwait and not Riyadh. Dumbass should have offered the Yanks all the oil at an even cheaper price than they were already paying.

.
Make sure they don't hear from Kashmiri people chanting slogans about freedom from India.

Ok, the territorial dispute being put aside. What's the harm in industrial parks? Won't Pakistan get a developed Kashmir when they liberate it? Or even excluding that maybe native Kashmiris can get some employment and development.

.
Won't be surprises if this turns out to be true.

.
We should encourage Saudi & UAE to invest in the Kashmir valley.

For all we know Pakistanis may be investing in the Kashmir valley through the Dubai route. India & Pakistan does a lot of Business through Dubai.

Why would it be fake news? Gulf monarchies have no loyalty to Pak or sense of moral duty.

Our leaders think with their asses and their bank accounts (or perhaps sectarian biases), not in terms of long-term grand strategy.

That's why regardless of the party or the system (PML N, PPP, PTI, military rule), it's the same shit and issues over and over and over again.

We don't have a strategy. We have no realist understanding of the world. Those who don't sell out are incompetent or powerless --- it's a sad state of affairs.

Get rid of internal snakes and external snakes can be dealt at the appropriate time. Money have got no loyalty so does the gulf Arabs. No one else is going to fight our wars and we need to stand up on our own feet's.

wooow just woow ... wonder why Arabs are adamant to bring India in OIC ... What a snakes... @waz or any other moderator can you please move this thread to strategic sections, this is not a central south Asian issue.
