ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court on Tuesday again issued notices to former lawmakers over dual nationality and adjourned the hearing to April 16, DawnNews reported.
A three-member bench of the apex court, headed by Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry, heard the case.
Former legislators who were not represented during the hearing were Raza Haroon, Haider Abbas Rizvi, Abdul Moeed Siddiqui and Askari Taqvi. All four ex-lawmakers are from the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM).
The former lawmakers moreover requested the court to reschedule the hearing for a later date.
Moreover, Chief Justice Iftikhar remarked that Justice Khilji Arif Hussain would also be included to the bench hearing the case.
Subsequently, the bench issued notices to the former lawmakers who were not present in court and adjourned the hearing to April 16.
