What's new

Dr Imran Rasul resigns from PM's Economic Advisory Council 'with a heavy heart'

Extremism is so infectious that it has even infected large swathes of the British Pakistani community. God help Imran Khan with 'Naya Pakistan'. I know this project that will take at least a generation but I believe Imran's greatest legacy will be that he began this process in Pakistan.

I have hope that PM IK will lead Pakistan towards light .....

He first needs a solid mandate so he can stand up against the dum, corrupt and useless of society

We HAVEN'T given him that yet, he has been elected yes, but has a slim majority with wolves everywhere

I was against this decision intially only to understand why Imran had to do it

Imran wants to transform Pakistan, change it for the better for this he needs a mandate so he can force change upon society,

He needs to pick his battles

Imagine the consequences of right at the start him being labelled a Ahmedi stooge or supporter

Now we can say he should stand for justice and Pakistani citizensc

But pmln pop fazlu and all the nuts will label and destroy him by preying on the ignorance and bigotry of society

Imran did the right thing

Change will be slow

Bingo. But in Pakistan I think people ought to be allowed to say whatever they want as long as it upsets the majority, insults the Constitutuion and Islam (!)

The stupid britishers here think that a person can speak about the 'Sins of UK' publicly and whatnot and then get placed in the PM's economic advisory council.

'Sins of Pakistan' is name of article this Atif Mian posted on his twitter along with another article on Pakistan crossing the 'line between man and God'. But they can't be arsed reading these articles on his twitter, let alone look for them.

Blind defenders!

Great post. so was I. But then I thought would I want his government to drown in the tidal wave he would face. He needs to consolidate and tread ever so carefully. Much as I respect Taseer but we don't want dead martyrs.

The stupid britishers
And who are you? A illegal migrant?

Humanity one punishment?
Mmm???

Victim of intolerance. But he stood against evil. A rare quality in Pakistan.

"All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing"

Edmund Burke
Your urdu is getting weak maybe the yeads are taking a toll or too much honey :D

What i said was

One punishment for (displaying) humanity the head be seperated from the body

You don't like the Saudi law leave the country simple. Their country their rules and they have been very successful economical wise and implementing law and all. You took names of afghanistan, syria, Iraq instead of you admit that they are of this situation because of the west you blame on mullahs. Now add these countries as well qatar, yemen and kuwait as west will be aiming them as well. Who knows if Saudia stopped buying the weapon from USA saudia would be end up just like iraq or syria.
Nice tommy miskeen good tommy miskeen :D

Same words for Greet Wilders and Donald Trump?

Fcukin hypocrite 101. Living in the den of liberal man fcuking man Norway and then b*tches about "libturd". It's like a guy relaxing inside a bar complaining about alcholics.

Wonders never seize !

It is unbelievably shocking when such people living as a minority outside their own country advocate the discrimination of minorities within their country of origin. One would think even an inch of empathy would have developed in their brains.

Also such people have in recent years adopted a lot of vocabulary from RSS Sanghis to our east, who have for some time referred to non-extremist Hindus as "libturds", "sickulars" etc. Now the Pakistani eqivalent of this mindset have adopted a similar vocab for Pakistanis advocating moderation and tolerance. Go figure!

Dear Pakistanis, stop mourning over this issue. The world don't ends here get use to it and move forward. Stop trying to compare our nation with west, Pakistanis are different people with separate ways of thinking. most worrying issue is now why overseas Pakistanis are not contributing much for dams fund?

.
And who are you? A illegal migrant?

None of your concerns.

But you guys are stupid to expect someone to talk against UK publicly and then expect a high profile government role.

People in UK get fired for their tweets all the time. Even government employees.

It can only be your stupidity if you can't apply the same principles in Atif Mian's case as well.

Because on one spectrum overseas Pakistanis donate and contribute their knowledge for free and then later they are thanked by a notice telling them to leave office because of their religion. Gov should respect them first.

Dude, we all may disagree with government on a different issues but for national campaigns such as dams fund, we need to understand that its a total different cause on humanitarian basis. Lets put political differences aside and work for a national cause.

Yeh it's amazing. It's incredible for victims to be abusers. look at Jews who are now doing to Palestinians what the Germans did to them. Even the language is same.

And we British Pakistanis are a tiny minority at about 2% of the population. We live here at the goodwill of the majority. We benefit from laws that give equal rights but then some here like this @Verve have the audacity to support prejudice and discrimination in Pakistan. They don't like Tommy Robinson but have no qualms in being acting out Tommy Robinson for minorities in Pakistan.

Stupidity (Jibran Nasir) and Libturd

& anti-Pakistan

The line was first breached by Prime Minister Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto in 1974 who, flanked by every political party and religious scholar, set out to determine who was a true Muslim and who wasn’t. General Zia took this initiative to the next level by inventing his own “divine laws” that prescribed precise penalties for a wide range of “blasphemous” acts.

If this is true then fcuk him

See above.

Ummm people who think qadyanis are angels should go and listen to the weekly friday sermon by their khalifa.

And what he has to say about Pakistan, its people and the Armed Forces.

They also have their channel. I forget what it is called but you should atart there.

And no I dont support religious fanatics nor am I pure muslims. But there are two sides to this.
