DPP victory, what course of action should China be prepared to take ?

.
It is similar to the US-Philippine relationship. The Philippines, a former American colony, even tho is now independent, will always have a strategic and vital historical relationship with Washington. The same goes for Taiwan in the Japanese Heart.

Anyways, Japan's interest in Taiwan shouldn't be taken out of context nor should it be an issue of concern for Mainlanders. Its just the reality. Let's move on.

.
the problems cai facing:

1,Cai family has great business with japan, during Japanese normalization, japan will ask Cai produce troubles with mainland as much as possible to alleviate Chinese pressure, better if China, US could fight across the strait. However, US will not to see the stress with China on strait, it will control Cai, so Can Cai keep balance among the three? Can Cai do the Japanese mission well?

2, Cai’s adopted dad,岩里政男(Iwasato Masao) wants Cai lead Taiwan to be independent. So how can Cai be not provocative?

3, Taiwanese livehood pressure, all promise Cai made during the election, now how can Cai fulfill them, ask for help from japan, US ? a joke. The above two will not allow Cai close to mainland, what else Cai could do?

4, the main pressure from mainland, the preparation of military solving is always a choice. Mainland will not just sit and see the separation inclination futher, Can Caigo step by step towards independence without triggering the war?

Nonesense, these are all false, provocative, speculations, my friend. There is 0% truth to this. 0% !! Absolutely 0%!!

· China don’t care what japan heart holds, where japan interests extend, Taiwan, north China, north four islands, even Ryukyu, if its heart is too fragile to hold so much, be care for breaking.

My friend, there is no imperialistic agenda in Japan, please do not troll.

Well, DPP will have to make a clear & definite statement when they are sworn into office, if they will continue to recognize & uphold the '1992 consensus'. They cannot play the ambiguity card forever, only then will we see any form of concrete action from Beijing. One thing is for certain. Do not underestimate Beijing's commitment to crush Taiwan's independence aspirations, the last thing CCP wants in the history book is a break away province under their leadership.

That's good that you reaffirmed that resolutely, @Pangu . What I am quite interested in is the recent entente between Tsai Ing Wen and DPJ leadership, which is clearly at odds with the LDP in Japan. I think this will be an interesting development in Japan. :)

Let us await these exciting developments, first, my friend.

Taiwan knows it's economic future is with mainland China. If they try any stupid stuff like Japan did, the Taiwanese economy will turn into a complete failure like the Japanese economy.
Bro, let's be realistic. Yes, Japan's GDP has declined but Japan is not a failed economy. I don't think Taiwan this time will do anything drastic like Chen back in the 90s.

Failed economy? on the way. You have just underrated the capability of comrade Abe.

Certain foreigner should be quiet, none of your business.
If Japan doesn't exist,we shouldn't have had that much problems.
Problems? if you see these problems as some types of necessary investment or cost that can give us interests far more than the cost in the long run, you won't think like that. As the chess player, we should take far longer view than any other ones.
