The US on Friday announced its decision to end preferential tariffs to $5.6 billion of Indian exports from June 5 after determining that it has not assured the US that it will provide "equitable and reasonable access to its markets."

Ya, fair enough. Trump is sparing no country with his percieved trade imbalance problem, why should India be spared ?

His problems with China are very real, for it is they, who, in concert with multinational (globalist) firms, are the ones who have hollowed out the US manufacturing base and it wreaked havok in the American hinterland. They hurt the American worker, the American workers came out and put Mr Trump in office... to fix their CHina problem.

The US - China trade war is the real game.

The US - India trade game is like a friendly of not much consequence. For now at least, the US seems to view India quite favourably and as an ally, in part to use as leverage against China, the real game.

India can also offset the trade imbalance by making up for it in military equipment purchase, something Mr Trump is a tremendous cheerleader for.

India will make a "sweetheart deal" with Trump.

China already are and will continue to bear the brunt of his tremendous trade imbalance fury. Are they already too far along the path to be effectively tackled by the Trump administration ? They have a few tricks up their sleeves as well, they're beginning to unsheathe some of their own lethal weapons as they battle the monster while nursing a bloodied nose..

Trump vs China is the real game, India are mostly inconsequential here. Notice how he's been talking about companies leaving China and going to Vietnam and "other places" lately.

The tariff on US tech goods in India is exorbitant;actually any imports that aren't produced in India have massive tariff,1/4 the retail price.And the market is almost closed to those which don't set up production facilities in india.
