MULTAN: A woman chopped off her husband’s legs with an axe after he forbade her from leaving the house in his absence in Vehari, police said on Saturday.

They said an FIR had been registered against her and two others.

A spokesman said Maqsood Ahmad had been admitted to the emergency ward of Vehari District Headquarters Hospital in a critical condition after he was attacked with an axe by his 42-year-old wife Maqboola Bibi, her sister Rasoola Bibi and brother-in-law Iqbal.

He said they had tied 50-year-old Ahmad to the bed and cut off his legs.

He said Ahmad had told police that he had forbidden his wife from leaving the house in his absence. He said this had prompted the attack.

The spokesman said neighbours had called Rescue 1122 who took Ahmad to the hospital. He said an FIR had been registered and teams had been formed to arrest the suspects.

Are you crazy, she chopped the guy's leg off, would you?
when something similar happens to a woman, we all go "hang him" or "chop his legs off" or "torture him" etc
when someone actually did it, then everyone is saying otherwise?

What ?? are you serious or is this some sort of a pathetic attempt on a joke ... extreme measures such as you mentioned before are usually brought up by people who want to make an example out of the perpetrator of violence in a case ...( almost always when its a man who is responsible for violence against a woman)

Coming to this story ... Just a simple question ...

Who is the perpetrator of violence in this case ?? The man or the woman ?...

and by extension, if you are for such extreme measures .. who should be the one facing those extreme punishments ... the VICTIM who got his legs chopped off or the sicko PERPETRATORS who chopped the legs off an innocent person ?

Not surprising how many men come to the madrassah complaining about their wife's erroneous behavior. Women turning to violence is a logical step. I blame on-screen drama being too comfortable.

No, actually not expressing his/her emotions. Just portraying our first thought after these types of news.

Obviously its a natural emotion after every act of violence.

How is women turning to violence a "logical" step exactly ?
