The Doklam issue was staged by China at the behest of Pakistan, Indian officials have pointed out. China tends to cause a distraction by forcing incursions into Indian soil.

Sikkim standoff: China staged Dokalam issue at Pakistan's request | Oneindia News However officials say that the standoff at Doklam was staged by China at the request of Pakistan. Doklam staged by Pak-China to further expansionist geo-strategic agenda It was a win-win situation for both China and Pakistan. China which has invested heavily in projects at Pakistan occupied Kashmir seeks the help of jihadi groups to protect its interests. There are several thousand Chinese belonging to the construction corps of the Peoples' Liberation Army.

This is a relatively new territory for them and hence the support of the over ground personnel of the terror groups come in handy when it comes to intelligence and protection. The Doklam standoff was aimed at keeping India busy elsewhere. India had put all its resources on the Pakistan issue and had even launched "Operation Clean Up," to flush out the jihadis.

Analysts say that China is aiming at an expansionist geo-strategic agenda for which it has sought the help of Pakistan. China would always seen India as competition and would go that extra mile to try stunt India's economic growth.

India has been receiving complaints about the growing Chinese presence at Gilgit-Baltistan. They have complained that their resources are being sold off to the Chinese by Pakistan.

Between Pakistan and China it is no longer just bi-lateral. China has repeatedly blocked sanctions on Maulana Masood Azhar, the chief of the Jaish-e-Mohammad. This is not just about want of evidence, officials say. Officials explain that it is not just bi-lateral. China has called Pakistan an all weather friend, while Azhar the man himself has called China the almighty. Apart from these aspects and the fact that Azhar guards China's assets in Pakistan it is also to ensure that India does not become supreme in the region.

China would not like India having its say in the UN. China has also been instrumental in blocking India's NSG bid several times. It is a case of being supreme and throwing its clout around says an informed officer in New Delhi. The officer says that although all nations say it openly that the war against terror is important, the fact of the matter is that all are divided in their approach. There are different equations at play.

The stakes in Afghanistan are very high. Russian President Vladimir Putin in fact changed the country's long standing policy against the US in Afghanistan. US was able to take over Afghanistan after Putin allowed the US set up base in Central Asia. China too has a major stake in Afghanistan and the recent statement by the Taliban in which it said it would not target infrastructure projects in Afghanistan is also significant. China has high stakes in Afghanistan and would not want that to be disturbed.

Any move in the UN on Azhar is likely to change China's equation with the Taliban which is considered to be close to the Jaish-e-Mohammad boss. More control in the UN for India would also tilt the balance against China. Officials explain that the reason for the block goes beyond the all weather friend or Azhar playing bouncer for Chinese investments in Pakistan theories. It is all about supremacy in the region, the officer also explains.

Actually I dont understand why road expansion there. to connect bhutan road?no, bhutan road is far away from there.and the road is hundreds meter near indian border. a single machine gun can block the road.

to scare indian, not nessesary.

what is the purpose of sudden road expansion there? and the road plan is goes where? I dont know

Yup, the only use of that road is to move artillery pieces to Doklam plateau facing the Chicken Neck. Other than that, there is no use. India actually has the right to be alarmed but no right to camp there.

Sometimes the cancer that is Indian media claims that we are a puppet of China and at other times they claim that we are ordering China to take such steps.

Indians do something for your self atleast one time. Stop it was't me theme and accept once what ever you done, why using Pakistan a escape route every time?. The only left will be Pakistan army general orders Indian troops to march inside Bhutan.

Real thing is that now Indian stuck in this issue and they think China will not respond that hard and they will foul the world and take advantage of that situation, but now they feel that benefits are very less compare to Indian losses and China first time response India as an enemy of China and will give benefit Pakistan automatically. Thank you Modi ji :enjoy:
