Does Turkey have Cyber Defence department?

Does Turkish army have such a department that can protect us from cyber attacks and perform cyber attacks?

Yes We have, I think It was opened last year...

There is a branch of TUBITAK named BILGEM (Bilisim ve Bilgi Guvenligi ileri teknolojiler arastirma merkezi). I have also heard of a "genelkurmay elektronik harp daire baskanligi" but can't find any info on it.

As far as i know every paramilitary branch has it's own information security department. Be it Police, Jitem or MİT. Especially MİT but we all know how little MİT's budget is, compared to other agencies.

Also I don't think we have a cyber warfare command like US has for last few years. They hit Iran with some pretty sophisticated viruses. We could do the same thing but even if we do have skilled personnel on this area they need to be organized and funded.

There was a guy in a Turkish defence forum who was talking about experimental Turkish cyber attack to an ex-Iron Curtain country. According to him, the attack was total success. Probably MİT guys did it.

China, Russia and US are much better organized in this field and that's what's important.
