On the recent military operations one can see that Israeli army used smart bombs to pin point target in Gaza, like USA used in Iraq. Does anybody know if Pakistan or China have this capability ? It looks like very effective weapon. I remember that Indian army also used it in Kargil war.
Its great advantage by the army wich have this kind of weapon in its arsenal.

they are future and pakistan sure will have them in future .

no we don't have but we have SAMs new old and high low altitude and they worked well in past and sure in future , recently we added MBDA SPADA-2000 its state of the art tech pakistan has in hands

we have no resources nor need of AAC its may take future 40-50 years

No , i don't think so , Pakistan have small coastline ..Pakistan navy is concentrating more on destroyers and submarines

Yes recently launched Paksat-1R and now working on remote sensing satellite and will launch it soon

1. Yes, we havve smart bombs, PGM's and JDAM. As well as an array of sophisticated A2G weaponry.

2. No, not yet, this stuff is way, way out of our budget.

3. Yes we do have SAMs such as Spada 2000 with radars such as the AN/TPS-77 to supplement. Last I heard we were looking for some Chinese SAMs back a few years ago, status of that I don't know.

4. No, too expensive and unnecessary.

We were on the verge of having a combat drone, it was revealed some time back, probably the thing we've been calling the Burraq, it looked like the Chinese CH-3, we probably either have this capability or are very soon about to acquire it, alongside the usual recon drones we already have such as the Falco UAV.

7. We have lost one AWACS aircraft, it was completely destroyed. We still have 3 Erieyes and 3 ZDK-03. Which is good enough. We got AWACS in before the IAF got them and in sufficient numbers, last I checked we were supposed to get even more ZDK-03 with steady modifications. The only cause for concern here is how we managed to lose such an expensive and vital PAF asset to a small terrorist attack.
