I was a member of another discussion board, and just before, and after Operation Cast Lead (Gaza war 2009), a couple of Israelis joined the site.
These people claimed to have found the site through google, and them joining at the same time was a coincidence.
Just before, during and after Cast Lead, they would engage in pretty much EVERY topic to do with the operation, and any topic to do with Israel.
Their posts were well thought out, and required quite a bit of prior knowledge to refute, they were good, real good. Their posts did spread a lot of misinformation, criticising Palestinian conduct, while totally justifying Israels with regards to settlements, wars, refugees, jerusalem, pretty much everything.
It came to light that these members were part of a media watch group...
CAMERA - Committee for Accuracy in Middle East Reporting in America
Wiki this, google it, whatever you want.
This is a group solely dedicated to propagating the Israeli viewpoint across as much of the media as they can, newspapers, radio, TV, even the internet (editing wiki to distort reality).
This is a pretty organised group, and it was suprising that such a forum i was a member of would have attracted any interest from CAMERA.
This group uses a tool (MEGAPHONE) which alerts them to any discussion taking place about Israel, and so the members would respond to the discussion, or poll. This has given them considerable influence over the electronic media, so do not believe what you read all the time.
This is not a warning, this is merely information that i think everyone should know, lest you come across a CAMERA member, doing what they do best.
