I recently saw this POLL on Dawn and got the idea to try the same here on PDF. Please vote and let us know. Thank you!

.
What are the crowd numbers at now? I voted no by the way, as you could have guessed.

. . . .
This Sit-in now becoming a joke, and its insane continuation by IK is politically in favor of PMLN day by day as it letting Opposition completely divided in the country with out of focus priorities to the least and internal infighting at the very best, So Carry On IK.

PTI made its point loud and very very clear. its been over done now. people have to get along with their daily lives. even a week was more than enough
these sit ins have shaken PMLn to the core. so objectives are achieved if the mission was to put pressure on Nawaz league. they were never going to give up power just because of the sit ins.
and Army also foiled their plan to become political martyrs by refusing to step in. now it must be fought in the courts
there is the issue of so many innocent deaths of the protesters.

Nawaz league in no way can claim it as a victory. they have the blood of the innocent on their hands and nil achievement to show off to people.

PTI should continue their dharna. Idiot Khan should sit their till death; he has said this himself.

BUT

A dharna means a continuous sit-in; not a 2 hour daily night show. How can one continue a dharna when there is 22 hour break in every 24 hours :p::p::p:

Thus, there was no dharna ever to begin with.

.
I was personally against any Dharna for the simple reason that suppose tomorrow TTP (there are some vociferous TTP supporters among members of this forum as well) come with 30 odd thousand men to Islamabad and insist that they would not go away unless Mulla Omer is made Ameerul Momineen of Pakistan. What then?

However, I have to admit that Dharnas have been partially succeeded in highlighting the lack of governance and inefficiencies of both the Muslim League as well as PPP. Additionally, Dharnas have increased political awareness of every ‘Sheeda, Gama & Majha’ of Pakistan.

Nevertheless, Dharnas have by now lost all usefulness. IMO both the PTI & PATshould focus their attention on the plight of the million IDP’s who have undergone lot of hardship & suffering as a result of Operation ‘Zarb e Azb’.

What then? Then we would have a political referendum on the issue. And we know what most Pakistanis would say, that is NO. Now try the same with IK demands: Scrutiny of past elections. If a referendum was held on that issue, courts and election tribunal had no choice but to open all constituencies and punish those involved in the rigging.

Courts and election tribunal are not bound by any referendum or emotions of PDF members. State institutions do not work on any personal whims and wishes.

Article 225 clearly states that election tribunals are the only forum for rigging complaints. Idiot Khan's dharnas and jalsas do not establish that rigging took place.

Idiot Khan should provide evidence for rigging and stop whining.

I was against dharna/inqalaab from day one and i said manytimes that qadri and imran will not achieve anything from this sit-ins and i was right. Qadri ended sit-in without government accepting any of his demands and same is the case with Ik because gov did not pay any attention to his demands or noises . He did not even got what nawaz offered himself in his speech to nation . Ik was insisting on resignation and he will never get it no matter he spend all his life in dharna or marches

.
IMO a military coup is preferable to a change of gov’t thru a Dharna. Suppose PTI manages to force a new general election now and Imran becomes the PM.

PML-N could then gather up about 50 thousand supporters for a Dharna against Imran Khan and also force him to call another general election after a year or so. This could go on indefinitely. This is nothing but a recipe for continued instability.

There should be electoral reforms. NADRA has by now data for majority of the Pakistanis adults. Only voters with the new ID cards should be allowed to vote and ideally there should be electronic voting thus no chance for bogus votes.

That is correct. That's why there is dharna to highlight the issue.

Not really. Supreme Court can declare past elections null and void if election tribunals find huge number of disparities / rigging in the constituencies that have been opened so far. Or order more constituencies to be investigated for larger sampling
SC to hear plea seeking to declare 2013 polls null and void on Oct 29

LOL! Really? Have you even read this thread, Gooni?
Rigging Galore!
White Paper Rigging

This was the whole idea behind these dharnas. Both IK / TuQ wanted to prove the fact that current government of Pakistan was elected undemocratically through rigging and is therefore completely out of touch with public and their real issues.

PML-N could then gather up about 50 thousand supporters for a Dharna against Imran Khan and also force him to call another general election after a year or so. This could go on indefinitely. This is nothing but a recipe for continued instability.
How would Nawaz gather that many people if IK became PM without rigging? IK is willing to open all constituencies his party won in 2013 elections. What is Nawaz Sharif afraid of if his party won the election free and fair?
