Now how are we supposed to do that, if we can't understand what is being said?

Any subtitles?

The question was why Pakistan did not establish the ideology that its founding fathers made it for?

And the answer given was that because Pakistan was a new country the people were so busy about with thier own survival, that when they passed away the ignorant ran the country.

I don't know how factual it is but it makes sense so I voted yes.

I do agree with this analysis. He's making perfect sense to me.

For the people who can't understand urdu.. here's a summary.

A student asks Zaid Hamid that what do you think is the basis of the problem, why we couldn't implement the principles we established our country on, i.e Islamic ideology, two Nation theory and a proper Islamic society based on Islamic justice and equality. The fact that we made our country in a struggle of 7 years and even then couldn't implement our founding fathers' vision in 60 years.

ZH answers: When Pakistan was established, the Muslim elite, intellectuals, who left everything behind in India and migrated to Pakistan, they lost everything in the migration, millions were killed, and who survived were left with nothing, the state was poor, there was no defence at all, match boxes were used to write on and used as letters by the government, whole world was of the view that this country wont survive more than 3 months.. and in survival, after Jinnah passed away, our main intention was diverted and our leaders messed it up.. the ideology that we forgot soon was the reason why we lost East Pakistan. Now he's of the view that Pakistan is going towards good future and if we go back too our roots, we will overcome these challenges and Insha'Allah will prevail.

Sounds logical rational and correct. He does not even mention the hard ship of the two wings being separated by enemy territory
