Do we have thermonuclear warheads?

.
I too come across at least one question everyday on our page, and our reply is that we have "more than enough sources to stop any sensible country from going nukes ." 80-120 war heads with a credible MIRV SLBM and a capable SSBN is what we need. Nothing more, nothing less.

Isn't it enough.

aye ayr sir.

Anyway, the fact that people are still asking this question is proof that India has no proven Thermonuclear capability.

China has tested HGV and J-20 for years, but nobody believes they are actually inducted today. Now imagine we had never tested HGV even once, how can we expect anyone to believe we have it?

Same as India's supposed ASAT capability. Never been successfully tested, yet we are supposed to believe they have it.

I might as well claim we have wormhole technology for space travel, it's never been tested either, just like India's supposed ASAT and Thermonuclear capabilities. You just have to trust we have it, even though it has never been tested once.

I am not asking pin point accuracy. Tell me what you believe is the truth. For example, the only perspective that I have heard here is from @Chinese-Dragon who says that India's test was a 20kt yield weapon, which is most likely to be a fission device.

@SinoSoldier adds that it could have been a fusion device with fizzled phases.

So tell me what you believe. Final judgement will depend on my reading of things from multiple sources.

Can you elaborate?
thats not important we have what we want and thats the main reason we dint had nuclear attacks from either side till now

No. We need 1000 strategic thermonuclear bombs & 10,000 tactical nuclear weapons.

Thats because western countries think that they are privileged and Asian countries cannot develop nuclear weapons. Thats why they doubt.

What makes you think that India has not done further nuclear tests after Pokhran-2.

Because Nuclear tests are monitored for, and any test above 10 kt has next to zero chance of being detected?
What if it is done in wilderness of Siberia. Anyways if you don't trust that Indian nuclear weapons can work, you must be trusting Russian nuclear weapons. If you trust Russian nuclear weapons work then you must believe that Indian nuclear weapons work.

Because No nuclear tests have been conducted by any nation after 1990s in accordance with the Comprehensive Test Ban Treaty.

So no tests were done in Russia as well.

I will quote you next time some Chinese say that they have some thing, without any visual proof or official confirmation of it.

Brace for it!

I think India will test thermonuclear of yield more than 500 KT in 2nd tenure of Modi Government....Thats why India has not signed NTBT

Yes. We will test nuclear weapons once more when we complete development of all delivery platforms.

I dont think we are going to test again......

Last time i checked,a minister in an interview said that we have 200kt thermonuclear devices

I don't think that will happen, for it will set a chain reaction of many nuclear tests around the world, something that is highly destabilizing, not to mention environmentally degrading.

Also, India didn't sign the Comprehensive Test Ban Treaty because at that time India was not a nuclear weapons state, despite a limited nuclear show in '74.

Which minister?

Well its the most futile thing to argue on the quality and quantity of our warheads as there will never be an official or an reliable source to second our claim.

The success of our warhead lies in that their quality and quantity always remain unknown.

In next 10 years any one who wants a nuclear weapon will test it. There will be lots of chaos. I wont be surprised if US & Russia start testing nuclear weapons soon to warn each other.
