I know it's a strange question but I'm asking this because Jinn folklore is popular in South Asian and Arab cultures.

Do you find it odd that the European colonisers discovered the sites, statues and artifacts very recently in the late 19th and the early 20th century when they gained foothold of the Middle East and North Africa? For over two millennia, it went undiscovered because they were either hidden by sands or left unexplored.

The fact that everyone still relied on British studies till this day shows that it was very likely that the Arabs and the Ottomans were not aware of it nor was interested in it because of the stigma attached to it so it was left unexplored since the spread of Islam 1,400 years ago.

Which got me wondering why and how was it possible the British empire discovered them when they were "recent" arrivals and wasn't familiar of the region? What was the fascination and what made them so determined to find it?

When I read the curse of Pharaoh stories, I start to think the Jinns were behind helping the British discovered it for several reasons. We know the fact that:

- Mesopotamia and Ancient Egypt was riddled with Black Magic. The ancient Pharaohs of Egypt were among the most knowledgeable of people with regard to witchcraft and they used the sorcerers to mummify them and put in spells that would withstand the ravages of time and last for a very long time.

- Black magic was widely used by the elites of the British Empire and they were the one of the founding fathers of secret societies/occult, a cult heavily influenced by Black Magic.

- Jinns have a very long lifespan and it would only take them few generations to know what had happened 3,000+ years ago. So, it's clear that what is known as the “curse of the Pharaohs” is nothing more than subjugation of the jinn to guard these bodies and treasures by using powerful magic, and the jinn who inherited this task from their forefathers would not allow anyone to come near to these places without harming them.

This is the only possible explanation I could think of. Thoughts?

it was something they really desired whereas other many not have seen their own past as needing investigation.

I think studying historians and archeologists will answer your questions

. .
You might find Egyptomania: A History of Fascination, Obsession and Fantasy by Ronald H. Fritze to be an interesting read (https://www.nytimes.com/2016/12/02/books/review/egyptomania-ronald-fritze.html?auth=login-google).

Egyptomania became something of a fad in Post-Renaissance Europe. I would imagine it to be something like how this current instagram generation has to travel to a remote village in Africa or Asia and take pictures to show how well-travelled and 'hip' they are.

.
Of course, that's how Europe got their knowledge then German Nazis/USA followed on. printing money out of thin air, lend on interest which is their magic formula to controlling the rest of the world. Rothschild.

.
In short answer no, however in along answer is still no.
The Muslims before (at least in Egypt) had along history with it relate back 1200's, some rulers even when faced with economic depression would order for excavation to find monument and gold to sell, it was like a mine of gold,
After a while it became inefficient becoming more scarcer. and people just choose to forget about it. most of these monument and temple were either under surface or weirdly just ignored.
until Napoleon invaded in 1798 and his scientists started digging what they found made Europe after the colonizing of the Americas made it the new fashion, so that also helped to encourage the scientific expeditionary.
So no it weren't jinn it were greed and fame the made them do it.
And there isn't such thing as stupid question, every question have a value even if you don't see it.

I believe one scholar of Islam (Imran Hosein) has already sited and disclosed (through the Qur'an and Hadith) that britain was the very first HQ of Massih-u-Dajjal. But you really want to understand the subject, I would suggest that you do your own research by studying the Holy Qur'an and Hadith.

I do apologize but I wouldn't respond any further than this. Considering that there abject presence of politically motivated Jahils on this forum (unfortunately). All I will say is, that you have good instincts, use them and study the subject yourself. When seeking the truth, if your pursuit is genuine and sincere enough, you shall find it in-sha-Allah.

For people how know better than i do please tell me:-
if jinn is as powerful is you say why does they bother with us clearly they could get what they want from money ,fame and power.
what exactly could you offer a black pig, a divorced bird or even an orphaned cockroach. what kind of offering could you give that will make them out of your way to help you. it baffles me how much b*llsh*t people are talking.

i knew some people hate the British but to go out of the way and make them HQ is (and i but lightly) a big stretch. they were bad i know and could go to say they did unhuman action i could hesitantly agree but that is another level, man.
[edit: spelling]

some people saw this places as a place of disgrace and jahiliyya.. not a place to be proud of human history.. so better go there to cry for this falsehood and not for admire something

others like the westerners did not have this mindset they saw it with different eyes.. they admired this culture where muslims did not

No is the simple answer Europeans (or the West in this case in general) by nature have been explorers sea faring and trekking. They've been known to study other cultures, languages and traditions and chronicle them for future generations to study. During WWI the academic studies of Gertrud Bell was used by the British to understand the dynamics of the Arabs and it's inter tribal relations and used it to their advantage to break up the Ottoman Empire in a way it would be better manageable and instilled nationalism in them, a fake identity for each of those nations. As for archeology they studies local histories of each area and launched expeditions teams often with government backing and funds.

Also, another such author and least talked about is Freya Stark who was anti-zionist and tried to warn others of its danger, and what her solution is people are now realizing.

One day Imran Hussain wakes Britain is dajjal, the next day Russia is gog and magog, day after that China is Gog and magog, Man is on quality stuff.

Gog and Magog or Yajuj and Majuj are European.

Some say Gog is Russia and Magog is Western Europeans.

Or Gog (leader) is Anglo-Saxon (USA) and Magog (origin land) is the rest of Europeans (USA allies).

Their location is at the furthest north and west from Middle East.

They are the master of fire, most of their technology are based on fire, like car engine, jet engine, up to fire based weapon like gun, bomb, rocket, and nuke.

They are the world wealthiest, no doubt.

Technology and culturally most advanced, no doubt too.

There's no other nations in the world that match the description as European.

They are Godless, and spread corruption in the world.

Godless or materialism, despite European are calling themselves as Christians, but modern Christianity are not similar to the original Christianity, they all are "Happy/Rich Christians" not the "poor Christians", a twisted Christianity, the church of Dajjal.

The church looks marveled on the outside, but inside you won't find the teaching of Poor Christianity, but instead Happy Christianity or materialism, or Dajjal.

Who other nation that can match European cultural promotion over materialism, alcoholism, free-sexxx, pornography, LGBT, feminazi, etc?

Thanks to colonial age, they are all over the world.

They have ex-colonies, allies or puppet governments all over the world.

Don't you feel the Middle East is surrounded by them?

Warring nation and blood thirsty?

Since the fall of Western Roman Empire, crusader era, colonial era, world war 1 and 2, cold war, and up to today...

It's still not yet stopping.

They are destroying the world with pollution and depleting natural resources.

There are three wars of Gog and Magog,

The two wars were already happening, we know it as World War 1 and 2.

And the third World War is already very near, we will experience it in our lifetime.

After the World War 3, after their homeworld was destroyed by fire sent from heaven (nuclear bomb), the remnant of them will mass immigrate to the South or Middle East.

They will consume everything and make the Euphrates river to dry, it will become a major issue to the Middle East at the time.
