Deposited demonetised notes still being counted: RBI Governor

But it is a double edged sword.

As they are learning now.

As the non Sanghi India fights back.

Cheers, Doc

Yeah I guess it is about when a particular group wakes up to what is happening. Some groups were able to realize the changing paradigm before others. Terror groups, alt-Right in US and BJP media cell were some of the earliest to use social media effectively. The rest are now catching up.

I'm just amazed about China though.

Not even the brutal Russians do it (media blackout) as well or as completely.

Cheers, Doc

Sanghis are way ahead on this front...

Many are ignorant and get easily swayed by propaganda. Infact a Bhojpuri movie scene was passed off as a hindu woman being molested in Bengal and many latched up to it..

I think that there is a global discourse developing in (let's call them aspiring countries) that is based in a form of ends-justifies-the-means reasoning. I am sure they see it as some sort of pragmatism.

Basically in this discourse, Russia and China are the poster children. So media blackouts, vast armies of paid or pro-bono internet trolls spreading propaganda, systematic undermining of political institutions in favour of strongman rule, these stand out as hallmarks.

The success of China is especially motivating this - the reasoning seems to be that China doesn't need democracy or free speech so why do we? India and Turkey are two nations that seem especially caught up in this tide.

If you see the history behind these decisions, the reasoning invariably seems to be to blindside the opposition. Presenting it while Parliament is in session would mean that neither opposition nor civil society have had the time to analyze and prepare a coherent response. So they can't corner the government. Works fine for them.

Yes they are creating a blind spot for 69% Indians who did not vote BJP.
