At the beginning of the 20th century, there were half a million rhinos across Africa and Asia but now there are around 29,000
Armur Lepord (Found Around Russia/China)
The population of the world's rarest cat, the Amur leopard, is around 60 in Russia and as low as 12 in adjacent areas of China
Javan rhinos are the most threatened of the five rhino species, with only 58-68 individuals that live only in Ujung Kulon National Park in Java, Indonesia
Hawksbills are found mainly throughout the world's tropical oceans, predominantly in coral reefs. They feed mainly on sponges by using their narrow pointed beaks to extract them from crevices on the reef, but also eat sea anemones and jellyfish.
Vaquitas (Dicovered 1958 , now number only about 40-50 individuals)
South China Tiger (Possibly gone)
The South China tiger population was estimated to number 4,000 individuals in the early 1950s. In the next few decades, thousands were killed as the subspecies was hunted as a pest. The Chinese government banned hunting in 1979. By 1996 the population was estimated to be just 30-80 individuals.
Today the South China tiger is considered by scientists to be “functionally extinct,” as it has not been sighted in the wild for more than 25 years.
Sumatran Rhino (Only 40 left in world)
Borneo and Sumatra, is location where they are found now
Sumatran Elephant (Population size only 2,400 – 2,800) considering they give birth in slow cycles
Tigers , only 3,800 remain in world
Bisons which survived the ice age (20,000 remaining)
Snow Lepord (Pakistan , about 6,000 remaining only )
Population of Giraffe's falling from 3 Million in 1910 to mere 75,000 in 2018
Massive rate of decline
Some Subspecies of Zebra numbers down
Overall, plains zebras number at around 750,000. Historically, there were over 15,000 Grevy's zebras. However, there are only about 2,500 remaining today. There are 600-700 cape mountain zebras and around 800-1300 Hartmann's mountain zebras in the wild.
Indo-Chinese Tiger
POPULATION
around 350 (2010 estimate)
Mountain Gorrilas (only 900 left )
Orangatangs (Only 14,000 remaining)
Only 20,000 lions left ....drop from 2,000,000 (Two million lions 100 years ago)
