Dengue virus outbreaks continuously claim precious lives across Pakistan while the concerned authorities have failed to take control of the worsening situation in the country.
The number of affected people jumps to 4,953 as two persons in Rawalpindi, one in Karachi and one in Khanpur were died of dengue fever on Wednesday.
Hundreds of patients were admitted to hospitals in Lahore, Multan, Faisalabad, Gujranwala, Sialkot and other cities as the dengue death toll in Punjab reached 16.
The dengue fever outbreak has so far killed 11 persons in Sindh this year.
161 more patients in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) have been diagnosed with dengue fever and total number of sufferers has risen to more than 2900.
On the other hand, Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar has directed the authorities to prepare anti-dengue kits and distribute them in the province.
Punjab government will provide anti-dengue kits to ensure best medical treaments in the hospitals across province.
