Rheinmetall MAN Military Vehicles supplies a further 1,000 unprotected militarized transport vehicles (UTF mil) to the Bundeswehr. At the end of December 2019, the BAAINBw placed the delivery order with a volume of 382 million euros.

675 trucks come with 6 × 6 all-wheel drive and are designed for a military payload of five tons. The remaining 325 vehicles are four-wheel drive four-axle vehicles (8 × 8) for a military payload of 15 tons. Production at the RMMV plant in Vienna has started. The 1,000 vehicles will be delivered by the end of the year.

On July 5, 2017, the BAAINBw concluded a framework agreement for a total of 2,271 logistic trucks for the UTF mil with RMMV and immediately called up the first tranche of 558 vehicles. Further calls were made in May 2019 (252 vehicles) and in November 2019 (60 vehicles). This means that 401 vehicles are still to be called.

The now ordered, robust and off-road vehicles have a basic military configuration and should also be available to the Bundeswehr for tasks under the Very High Readiness Joint Task Force (VJTF) 2023.
