I understand having certain hobbies or wanting to have a certain standard but the obsession with advertising it, glamourising it and feeling superior as a result, is just an inferiority complex.

To anyone in the western world, if anything it makes you look like a shallow third-worlder with less value than the humble rural villagers. They may not have money but they have a sense of honour and mentality that can't be bought.
