DataSoft to provide IoT technology for 10,000 apartments in Japan
The DataSoft IoT developers working on this project have been trained through the ICT Ministry-sponsored LICT training programme jointly operated by ULAB and DataSoft Bangladesh.
Datasoft, a Bangladeshi IT company, is going to provide Internet of Things (IoT) technology for 10,000 apartments in Tokyo, Japan.
The DataSoft IoT developers working on this project have been trained through the ICT Ministry-sponsored LICT training programme jointly operated by ULAB and DataSoft Bangladesh.
To design and implement the project, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between Datasoft and Smart Life Inc, a Japanese company at Hotel Sonargaon in the city Sunday evening.
DataSoft Managing Director (MD) Mahboob Zaman and Smart Life Inc Director Bunta Mabuchi respectively signed the contract on behalf of their organisations.
Commerce Minister Tofail Ahmed was present at the signing ceremony as the chief guest while Director General of ICT Division Banamali Bhowmick, Bangladesh Association of Software and Information Services (Basis) president Mustafa Jabbar and Country Representative of Japan External Trade Organisation (Jetro) Daisuke Arai were presented as special guests.
Addressing the signing ceremony Tofail Ahmed said: “As an example of Bangladesh-Japan collaboration, this signing is also an important milestone for Bangladesh-Japan trade as it is the first instance of a Bangladeshi IT company selling a large-scale cutting edge technology solution to Japan.”
