So sad, people can't get over their greed. Daraz.pk's management is responsible for ensuring the quality of products and safety of the customers. They need to take strong action against all such sellers and evolve a system of validation that ensures quality.

I have mix experience from daraz.pk.

But when item was not what I wanted they changed it with other item, it seems that since sale to Alibaba the quality of service have gone down.

In my views this is a best online shopping website of Pakistan .I do like shopping online and now more and more international products are becoming available on daraz. you will find all type of good and bad quality products on this website but my experience on this website is good .

Whatever Daraz might try to do will be shot down by the rotten culture of Pakistan. Unfortunately the culture of Pakistan has a tendency to return towards corruption and exploitation of the innocent. No wonder why any initiative with pure intention, never survives in Pakistan. People who get qualified enough hastily run off to other countries and take their businesses with them.

The owners of Daraz realized this early, they sold the company and ran off to foreign lands to invest money there. Soon Daraz will be replaced by a foreign name with much better service, and all the earnings of the company will go to the parent country (China, USA etc) . No wonder why we are always crying about our Current Account Deficit because we are forced to survive on services provided by the much more "competent" foreigners.

Even though Daraz has been acquired by Alibaba, no structural changes to the company were initiated, and hence Daraz has become totally engulfed in the exploitative culture of Pakistan.

The incumbent govt. should now leave the rhetoric of the bad economy that PMLN left to them behind, and start working on the Ease of Doing Business in Pakistan as soon as possible. The exploitation of big companies, the monopolies, the sub standard food industry, non-documentation of the economy, must all come to an end!

Ebay and Amazon surely had these issues as well. Getting some foreign experts with first hand knowledge of ebay or amazon's quality control procedures, to help fix the problems, would have been a better option then giving up and selling out. Business people also need the law on their side. ease of doing business is one thing, but civil or criminal penalties for fraud also need to be enforced, so that companies don't have to carry the burden of doing business and chasing every two bit crook on their platforms.

Uber had same issues. They had drivers who would try to find short-cuts to make money, or try to create fake rides. But they eventually got nailed and fired. Strict quality check needs to be done to survive in Pakistan and take out rotten sellers to maintain reputation.

Issue is not with the daraz or any other e commerce shopping portal, it is the mindset of people here who still are reluctant to adopt online purchasing. Also if someone do like to shop online, they are more comfortable to have Cod rather than using any prepayment platforms like credit or debit cards. E-commerce industry, despite of having basic fundamentals in place, still hasn't picked up pace in Pakistan because people are just not comfortable buying online especially for items with reasonable price tag. On the other hand, food panda, is a success story especially in Karachi because the food you buy is normally not that expensive while anything which is in thousands, people are just not ready to buy online. Companies like daraz will never make profits unless purchasing volume is of high price items as well since logistics of delivering the item to your home will eat up all the profit even if they charges you on delivering which is normally not that much as of now.

The refund policy of daraz and others, are pretty trustable however it do take time for getting your money back. Anyways, in the age of cell phones and fast speed Internet, ecommerce is the future. Imagine someone living in remote area of the country has access to buy topnotch item from any well known store of Pakistan. The power and potential is there but just not the trust yet.
