What I read is that, Prohet Mohammed (PBUH) and Omer (RA) were having a trip outside makkah.
They passed a strange building and He asked Omer to stay outside.
The Prophet went inside and talked with dajjal and he came out and told Omer that he was Dajjal. When Omer (RA) asked him to kill Dajjal, the prophet denied saing that Isa (AS) will kill him.

Narrated Ibn `Umar: `Umar set out along with the Prophet (p.b.u.h) with a group of people to Ibn Saiyad till they saw him playing with the boys near the hillocks of Bani Mughala. Ibn Saiyad at that time was nearing his puberty and did not notice (us) until the Prophet stroked him with his hand and said to him, "Do you testify that I am Allah's Apostle?" Ibn Saiyad looked at him and said, "I testify that you are the Messenger of illiterates." Then Ibn Saiyad asked the Prophet (p.b.u.h), "Do you testify that I am Allah's Apostle?" The Prophet (p.b.u.h) refuted it and said, "I believe in Allah and His Apostles." Then he said (to Ibn Saiyad), "What do you think?" Ibn Saiyad answered, "True people and liars visit me." The Prophet said, "You have been confused as to this matter." Then the Prophet said to him, "I have kept something (in my mind) for you, (can you tell me that?)" Ibn Saiyad said, "It is Al−Dukh (the smoke)." (2) The Prophet said, "Let you be in Ignominy. You cannot cross your limits." On that `Umar, said, "O Allah's Apostle! Allow me to chop his head off." The Prophet (p.b.u.h) said, "If he is he (i.e. Dajjal), then you cannot overpower him, and if he is not, then there is no use of murdering him." (Ibn `Umar added): Later on Allah's Apostle (p.b.u.h) once again went along with Ubai bin Ka`b to the date−palm trees (garden) where Ibn Saiyad was staying. The Prophet (p.b.u.h) wanted to hear something from Ibn Saiyad before Ibn Saiyad could see him, and the Prophet (p.b.u.h) saw him lying covered with a sheet and from where his murmurs were heard. Ibn Saiyad's mother saw Allah's Apostle while he was hiding himself behind the trunks of the date−palm trees. She addressed Ibn Saiyad, "O Saf ! (and this was the name of Ibn Saiyad) Here is Muhammad." And with that Ibn Saiyad got up. The Prophet said, "Had this woman left him (Had she not disturbed him), then Ibn Saiyad would have revealed the reality of his case.

Guys, I'd recommend that you all buy the Mishkat. It is a collection/anthology of the most authentic and agreed upon Ahadis from the Saha Sittah and a very handy refference when talking about the signs of Qiyamah and Fitna e Masih e Dajjal as all thse Ahadis are there it with refferences.
As per my feeble knowledge, Dajjal is already alive and in this world, though he is not Ibn Sayiad. A sailor who came to the Prophet(SAW) to accept Islam, told him about meeting Dajjal on an Island. Since I don't remember the exact Hadis, I'm not posting it here.
Dajjal, the mere name makes me cower in fear and seek refuge from Allah. He will be the biggest, badest fitna around in the End Days. Some people say Dajal is a system. No, he is the apex, the ultimate leader of a system the likes of which we associate with Dajal. And metaphors aside, his physical appearance will be exactly as told to us by the Prophet(SAW). Best defence against him is to recite Sura e Kahaf every Friday regularly. Just do it and then you people will recognise him upon his appearance(if it Allah forbid happens in our lives). It will also help in understanding the fitna better, as it somehow opens an inner eye on the subject. And yeah The Arrivals is in many matters pure tosh. Don't watch it unless you have already acquired knowledge through Ahadis on the given topics as many people get confused and misguided(same rule as for comparitive religion).
And remember we are according to my humble observations in light of Ahadis, living in a transitional period where almost all of the minor signs have come to pass and the major signs are either in their infancy or will happen sometime in the future. Like the major sign of the nations of the world gathering upon muslims has started. Rest Allah knows only, we can only conject/speculate on all this in light of our limited intellect. Anyhow, please pray to Allah to keep all Momineen and Muslims in His safety from these fitan.

He is what Christians believe is the 'anti-christ'...

I don't know if its true or not, but the Hadith is very, very, strong as it has been recalled by many famous collectors of Hadith. Basically, when Prophet Isa (Jesus) comes to Earth, Dajjal is his opposition- and wars will be fought.

It is said that he will come one day and will be the ruler of the world, he will be the leader of the most heartless, merciless and evil tribe.

He will take control of nearly everything (like God) and will make people starve (muslims) because they will say that he isint the god, but he claims to be.

About him we do have a lot of information.

It is said that he will go to every city/town of the world except 2, the muslim holy cities.

In the end, when he will cross all the limits, Prophet Jesus will be broght doen from heavens and will kill Dajjal with a spear.

Actually all the religeons overlap and are subsets of each other.
We all do have mutual believe but with different identity,
eg, Our Isa (AS) is Christians Jesus (AS)

Did I say something else? Islam, Judaism and Christianity are the three Abrahamic (meaning from Ibrahim A.S) monotheistic religions. And I know that the beliefs of all faiths overlap generally, but this is a topic specific to the above 3 as the signs of the End Days are almost 60-70% same and can be discussed civily by laymen. Adding other religions' scriptures will only end up making a hodge podge. As someone who delves a bit in these things, such a mix can easily confuse people without a solid grounding in their own knowledge like I already said in my previous post. And that is why I did not say no Indians but only people not of the Book or muslims. I hope you understand my reasoning.
