Figuratively speaking, Turkey is no longer with NATO. They are still continuing in NATO not to support it but to sabotage NATO from within. Since one cannot be kicked out of NATO, West is clueless on how to handle this situation.

One does not need be a great analyst as Turkey's actions are not even subtle

1) Turkey provided an alternative to Russia pipeline to pass through Turkey as the pipe lines through Ukraine are no longer viable. Russia now has Nord Stream for Northern EU countries and TurkStream for the Southern EU countries. Also, by supporting TurkStream, Turkey delivered a death knell to US supported Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) pipeline.

All these actions serve Turkey's national interest. I don't see anything wrong here in this age of 'national interest'. As trump says America first Erdogan says Turkey first.

Of course Turks should do what is in their national interest. I was only pointing out the fact that Turks are no longer part of NATO. Turks know it and the world knows it.

This project is a pipe dream , Cyprus and Israel will export gas to Europe through Egyptian LNG plants.
The Egyptian petrochemical industry can also absorb excess gas produced by Israel and Cyprus.

In any war with Israel If I am strategist and has less fire power than Israel , I just turn this to 6 month to 2 years long war without any massive offensive and after tiny Israel use all of her resources , I would order for slow advance and in another 5 months you will fall ... this is for a scenario that you have greater fire power but in Turkey case , they simply can crush your air force by attacking your air base with long range rockets and then finishing you with Air force ...

so , don't show teeth to countries that won't get scared by your pity threats and know how to fight ...
