How is the taste of pork compared to cow ?
Never tasted cow meat as it is prohibited in my religion, but i have eaten mithun(found in arunachal) and waterbuffalo many a times.

Compared to pork, the flavour profile is completely different.

Pork gets its taste from the fat, otherwise it is like another white meat. Pork lovers in my place even sometimes take a kilo of pork fat(not bacon or pork belly, the thick variety with rind on) without any meat, and then skewer on bamboo sticks and enjoy with friends and family over local traditional alcohol or food.

Mithun on the other hand is proper red meat with intense flavour and texture which is accentuated when one smokes it. Reared water buffalo is a milder form of the same.

Pork consumed in western countries is very different than ours for they use much less fats.

I don't eat cow meat. So don't know.
But pork has very different taste from other meat like lamb, goat Buffalo.
I like pork meat best. But if you eat lot of fat then you cannot eat more.

So pork meat has many fat ? So I guess the one that make the taste good is its fat component ?

There is special cuisine in my culture Minang Kabau (West Sumatran) who serve part of cow meat with a lot of fat. Thats is really awsome. Ya, I think fat is very delicious.

It look tasty and nice not spicey. But I don't like long rice. I like when rice is small and sticking.
Also it's not Chinese rice. It is joha rice. It has nice smell
Lmao, the Pakistanis here would probably choke on a serving of tupula bhat or sunga rice.

Absolutely true, fat is what provides flavour to the meat. In fact, we don't even skin the broiler chicken whenever possible. When we can, we buy thw chicken live and roast it over fire and that tastes awesome.

@Aswaklanta D khahi kukura r mangkho khai paisa ne? Villagers in my ancestral place rear those, and i must say that those are the best tasting chicken. But reserved only for guests or special occassions.

Balochi food isnt spicy neither is traditional pashtun food or GB food.

Sindhi and Panjabi food is more spicy but not indian spicy.

Pashtuns love fat, be it women or food.

They cook meat with the fat, the fat turns into oil giving more flavour to the food.

And they make excellent meat. Vegetarians will have a tough time in Pakistan.

We are struggling with the food part of the lockdown too, not easy sourcing meat in black..

From what i am seen about Pashtun cooking, it is simply fabulous, meat based, just the raw meaty flavour without unnecessary addition of spices that obfuscate the taste. Very similar to our cuisine, some may find it bland but we relish it.

Regards.

Here grocery, meat and general stores and pharmacies are open.

In our household we dont buy meat directly. We buy the animal and get it prepared by the butcher.

No pashtun food isn’t that bland. as someone who has had indian food, I think indian definition of spicy is a bit too much.

@Indos. Guess what this is?

Do you also have cuisine from cow foot that is actually not a meat and not a fat either ?. We use it for cooking this West Sumatran food, Gulai Tunjang. We also have cuisine from cow brain.
