Yeah, but F-16 is way superior to the J-10 dude!!
Initially or may be not. No one knows what J-10 currently holds in its pocket.
JF-17 and F-16 are close, so i am pretty sure J-10 can beat it any day especially with improved western tech. If it can take on Sukhois it should be able to give a good fight against the F-16s.

I hope Blain can clear you up over here, F-16 in its Block 52 and upward models, that is its highest form is far far more superior to J-10 highest current form. Please I hope you give due credit to Pakistan's most prized and prestigeous fighter. Rest is all wishfull thinking.
with what we have been told about the J-10 so far the F-16 is far superior, but the info released on J-10 isnt exactly that detailed, the fighters just been declassifed, china is'nt going to release every single thing about its capabilities.

Cum on webby, F-16 blk 52 far outclasses J-10. blk 52 and 60 are the pinnacle of F-16 development. J-10 cant match it now by a long shot. The planes that J-10 beat were old Su-27's. I'd rather take an F-16 blk 52 any day any time over Su-27. Give credit where it is due. This is wishful thinking on your part that J-10 can match F-16's.
And when every one says J-10 in its later stages will match F-16's, they ought to know that by then F-16 and other fighters will be in even more advanced stages.
This story about J-10 getting the better of SU-30 is more like a rumour without any actual detail. Was it WVR combact or BVR? If WVR(most probably) how serious was the pilot on SU-30 to beat the J-10? If WVR what kind of missile were simulated?
J-10 with cancards is designing to be monevourable. Wont surprise me if it comes close to SU-30 in that character.However I would give the Russian airframe a little advantage over the Chinese as they are longer history with aircrafts.
Now coming to F-16 and J-10.Plain airframe to airframe comparision, J-10 might be better as it is a newer design. However at the end of the day what matters is radar and avonics. You put an F-16 avonics in a J-10,hell I would agree that J-10 is better than F-16.

correction, i believe it was a Su-27, earlier in most reports it was Su-27 plane, then slowly they 'changed' to Su-30.
oh..I am sorry about that. I dont actually remember which version it was. That's the only aircraft against which any "boast" was worth it.
It is not a rumour. It is a freaking fact. J-11 are the advance versions of Su-27 and not the old ones. Their production was stopped because of J-10 development and availability as a much better aircraft. PLAAF uses Su-30MK, Su-30MKK, Su-27, and J-11, all of the sukhois family, and i wont be surprised if they did test aircrafts against each other, especially against the Su-30MKK.
J-10 is way to meanuverable and designed to out class any fighter in a dog fight. However, electronics needs improvements which i believe if Pakistan wants it. It will use the western avionics with AESA radar.
You can give advantage to the Russians on the basis of history all you want.
What the F? What were you trying to prove? You just wasted my 2 minutes. :wall:

It was a chinese j-11, that is SU-27, and it is no way as advanced as the Russian Su-27, Most radars and avionics supplied to China by the Russians are degraded. Most of the stuff spewd over here are just wishful thinking. And I repeat its ike saying if I put this and that in my slow mobile,lol..it will become a world beater...duhhhh

I believe it were not the old Su-27s but the indeginiously developed J-11 (Su-27). I would appreciate a source if you could give me which states that those aircrafts were old.
F-16 Block 50 is indeed a totally new aircraft compare to the old versions. However, i still think that J-10 has something that PAF prefers and that is why it is considering to go for it.
J-10 can face any aircraft. Sukhois, F-18s, F-16s, without any problem. It is no wishful thinking. Hell if it couldn't, why would Chinese not just acquire some more Su-30s. What makes you think that J-10 cannot compete with these fighters?
