CRPF man shoots himself dead

SRINAGAR, Oct 11: A Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) man on Friday ended his life by shooting himself with his service rifle at Tengpora in outskirts of Srinagar city.

Police said a constable Jai Singh Panday of CRPF’s 73 Battalion late this afternoon shot himself dead with his service weapon in CRPF camp at Tengpora . “We’re trying to figure out the reason that led the trooper to commit suicide,” police added.

Meanwhile, a case has been registered in this regard.

It isn't the IA.

Many shooting cases because many people. 1.1 million army, 1.1 million CRPF, almost a million other paramilitaries. The larger the absolute number of people, the more the number of incidents. Proportionately, IA's suicide rates are not any higher than that of other militaries'.
