At least 62 people have died after a crane collapsed on the Grand Mosque of Mecca on Friday, Saudi authorities say.
According to Saudi Interior Ministry, at least 30 more people were injured in the incident.

At least 62 people killed, when a crane crashed in Mecca's Grand Mosque on Friday, Saudi Arabia's Civil Defence authority said on its Twitter account, an accident that came just weeks before the Muslim annual haj pilgrimage.

Pictures circulating on social media showed pilgrims in bloodied robes and masses of debris from a part of the crane that seemed to have crashed through a ceiling.

Saudi authorities go to great lengths to be prepared for the millions of Muslims, who converge on Mecca to perform the sacred pilgrimage.

Last year, the kingdom reduced the number permitted to perform haj for safety reasons because of construction work to enlarge the Grand Mosque.

I saw but latest reports says praying going on at grand masque as normal . Told my indian source in saudi . What is very good thing is nearly 125 indian doctors are there to give additional support . I dint know whether they were appointed by saudi or went there for some conference . Its still not clear ...


But what you think about this date bro . Its 9/11 and 7/11 verdict came today . 11 is not so good date ?
