CPI(ML) General Secretary Dipankar Bhattacharya today questioned why there was 'misplaced outcry' for the dismissal of Army chief General V K Singh instead of investigation into corruption in defence.
Allegations emanating from the very top of India's defence establishment underlined corruption in defence as witnessed earlier in Bofors, Tehelka, Coffin-gate, and Adarsh scams, Bhattacharya said in a statement here.
He called for an independent probe into all defence procurements and purchases and reiterated that the armed forces be brought under the ambit of the Lok Pal.
