PML-N to give ‘matching response’ to Imran on 20th
ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) aspires to release pressure, apparently put on it by Imran Khan’s impressive public meeting at the Minto Park Lahore on Oct 30, through a public show at Faisalabad on Nov 20.
It’s poised to press into service all its sources and resources to make its meeting a success. Without assigning any reason or making a formal announcement, it had postponed its earlier planned public meeting at Faisalabad scheduled for Nov 3 as part of its “Go Zardari Go” campaign. However, it was widely believed that it was put off mainly due to the absence of its President Nawaz Sharif from Pakistan.
“Everybody will forget Imran Khan’s rally and remember and quote our public meeting in Faisalabad,”
PML-N leader Abid Sher Ali, who hails from Faisalabad, told The News.
He said all the participants of next Sunday’s public meeting would be locals and no people from other cities would be transported to the venue.
A PML-N source said that it has been internally discussed by the party that the main reason behind relatively less turnout of people at its Bhatti Gate rally was the absence of Nawaz Sharif from the country, who was on a visit to Turkey at the time.
He said it was seriously felt in the brainstorming session that had Nawaz Sharif been the lead speaker at Lahore, the attendance would have been quite different.
Abid Sher, who is mobilizing people to attend the Faisalabad meeting, said that the city would prove once again that it was a stronghold of the PML-N.
He said Nawaz Sharif has issued directions to the Punjab government to stay away from the arrangements of the meeting as far as public funds and other official resources were concerned. “Our voters and supporters will spend whatever would be required for its arrangements,” he added to a question.
Abid Sher said that the main focus of the Faisalabad meeting would be on “Go Zardari Go” but the claims of the Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaaf (PTI) chairman that he has conquered Pakistan by holding just one public rally at Lahore would also be belied.
He said that it was also necessary to puncture the “balloon of popularity” that Imran Khan has assumed. He believed that the PML-N voters were not so naÔve that they would change sides at the spur of the moment. “There is not a single important desertion from our party.”
The source said that it was decided in the Lahore meeting chaired by Nawaz Sharif that the party should hammer this point openly to clearly indicate to all and sundry that it has read the message and would counter it.
Consequently, he pointed out, Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah recently stated that the PTI sit-ins against CIA sponsored drone attacks on the tribal areas were staged at the behest of the establishment.

infact in absence of opposition, it proved to be the voice of people of Pakistan, and finally after fighting 15 years for the people of Pakistan, Pakistani nation has started to realise who their true representative is, and who can solve the problems we are stuck in, and that is only PTI.
