Could The US Defend From An Invasion of the Homeland

Yawn.... then come and get it. Quit talking..:pop:
y the insecurity?? this is just a hypothetical assumption.

i say Guam is more likely to be taken by china- than alaska.

'Guam'关岛, not Alaska- is mentioned in chinese media all the time. im pretty sure our Chinese friends here can attest to that.

The PLAN is planned- to take that island in the event of hostilities

Do you understand that if hostilities were to break out the battlefield will not be restricted to just Guam? for starters every single reef that China has built up will be destroyed - and quickly

You amuse me, smalls... whatever that line crayon line is supposed to signify, that's not where the story will end. Might hurt your Gorilla too! LOL
lol it is what it is. The Alaskan front is the only way a major, hostile power(discounting canada n mexico of cos) can ever land troops on the North American continent to invade the US heartland.
After all, that's where the first homo sapiens entered the Western hemipshere- via the Bering land bridge

BTW, this is assuming the US still has a formidable navy to hinder the Chinese in the open pacific, of cos.i say more likely, the switching of terriotory would be conducted via a series of island-hopping strat, except this time round, it would be from West to East across the Pacific lol.

thanks.

ah! I see... well, that changes everything! what islands are you hopping on past the Russian coastline? while we are at it, where in China are you leaving from? Can't tell from the map

You cannot invade mainland United States. There would be a rifle behind every blade of grass." - Japanese Admiral Isoroku Yamamoto.
This isn't WW2. Every soldier has a grenade and a single grenade launcher would take out 15 to 20 rednecks holding a shotgun. Don't be dumb.

LOL! kind of entertaining though isn't he? it is a boring Saturday with the lock down and all, and his crayons go good with a cold Corona! I was just wondering if the squiggly crayon was from a badly configured missile or a rowboat sticking close to the shoreline... :-)

i told u, this is only IF the US STILL has a formidable navy to render the transport of Chinese troops and equipment unsafe on the high seas. The PLA and PLAN marines would wanna hug as close to shore as possible, most likely with Russian support(tho Russia might not be a belligerent herself)

Besides, Alaska is the weak link. Thats the prime region to open a front to attack the US heartland.

If i can come to the same scenario as the makers of this game, it proves that's a viable strategy https://fallout.fandom.com/wiki/Battle_of_Anchorage

The Battle of Anchorage (also known as the Liberation of Anchorage, Anchorage Campaign, and the Anchorage Reclamation) was fought between the United States of America and the People's Republic of China, started by the Chinese invasion of Alaska in the year 2066.

BackgroundEdit
With conditions deteriorating between the U.S. and China, a military presence in Alaska was established to prevent a possible invasion across the Bering Strait. With increasingly scarce oil reserves, a last deep-sea deposit below the Pacific Ocean was claimed by China before allegedly being sabotaged by American special operatives. Strained relationships spiraled downward into conflict as Chinese forces marched into Alaska, officially starting the Sino-American War. Under the command of General Jingwei, the Chinese Army usurped control of Alaska's oil pipelines and reserves.

Under the leadership of General Constantine Chase, the U.S. Army battled fiercely at the front lines of the conflict before Chase began deploying specialized power armor units that began pushing the Chinese back. Future power armor suits were further refined as the conflict dragged on, and the Trans-Alaska Pipeline was reclaimed. With American resources flowing through Canada, strained diplomatic relations between the two countries became problematic. Canada was militarily annexed with the near sabotage of the Alaskan pipeline.

With a combination of inclement weather, constant American bombardment, trench warfare and U.S. power armor units attacking mainland China, the Chinese supply lines were severely weakened. By January 2077, the city of Anchorage was finally liberated and the Chinese presence was removed. A commemorative memorial was erected in Washington, D.C., in honor of the soldiers who fought and perished for the United States. Violence between America and pockets of Canadian freedom fighters continued throughout 2077, up until the Great War.
