Corona infected Tablighi Jamaat attendee attempts suicide from 6th floor of Delhi hospital

Killing yourself is a bigger papa and the punishment is very severe...you would roam around for the number of years pending as a ghost...not a great idea.

.
man who had attended the religious gathering in Delhi's Nizamuddin area attempted suicide on Wednesday.

The man tried to jump out of the window of the isolation ward at Delhi's Rajeev Gandhi Super Specialty Hospital.

He had attended the Tablighi Jamaat's gathering in Nizamuddin, which has become a hotbed of coronavirus infections in India.

As news of the attempt broke, panic spread across the hospital.

The Rajeev Gandhi Super Specialty Hospital is located in North East Delhi's Dilshad Garden. It is one of the five Delhi hospitals which have been dedicated for treating Covid-19 cases.

According to hospital sources, the patient was admitted to the hospital on Tuesday morning. He was admitted to the isolation ward on the hospital's sixth floor as he was suspected to be Covid-19 positive.

As coronavirus patients need ventilation, the windows in the room were not closed. The patient tried to jump out of the window at 12.30 pm on Wednesday..

But he was saved by the doctors on spot. After the attempt, he was given psychological counselling by specialists.

"People from Markaz Nizamuddin were admitted on the sixth floor. One of them tried to commit suicide today. We successfully saved him. We're taking all possible measures to tighten security so that such incidents are not repeated," the hospital administration said.
