The iraq-iran war (or iran-iraq war however you want it to be) was not a good war for either side.بڑا بول نہیں بولنا چاہیے میرے بھای

Iranians are mad people. they fought off a well equipped Iraqi army for decades that had the support of West and Arabs. they are fighting a proxy war with Americans, British, entire Gulf alliance and Israelis at the same time for decades. they are no walk over despite being technologically inferior to our military.
they already have 2 nuclear powers threatening themIran is genuinely trying to create a tense situation at Pak-Iran border as then they can have a pretty genuine reason for going forward with their nuclear weapons program saying that they are facing security threat from another nuclear armed state.
chill the f out bro....The iraq-iran war (or iran-iraq war however you want it to be) was not a good war for either side.
Both sides militaries were bad. It wasnt a case of whose military was better, it was whose military was the least worse.
They literally did trench warfare in the 70s/80s. Iran recieved loads of weaponry from the us (f14 tomcats even) and many other goods. Albeit they were playing both sides.
The iraqi army was poor in terms of tactics and strategies. The iranians took massive casualties in their battles. It was a terrible war that should not have been fought. Neither side were able to take and hold each others land.
The iranian military if it goes up against the Pakistan military will be wiped out. Their main power is in missiles but that wont win you wars when your neighbour possesses the same tech if not better.
Im chillchill the f out bro....
talking about war scenarios with a friendl-ish country over an altercation on an undisputed borderIm chill
I was replying to @Irfan Baloch regarding the iran iraq war. Not about the border dispute.talking about war scenarios with a friendl-ish country over an altercation on an undisputed border
doesn't sound chill to me
Mostly urduAre they speaking Farsi?
these smugglers have killed Pakistan army, FC and Iranian guards on multiple times. they carry heavy weapons and yes they have backing from the members of parliaments as well.
back in 1987 when I visited Chaman and stayed at FC guesthouse I was given a tour of the place and saw the vehicles and weapons confiscated / retrieved from the smugglers. back then they carried armor piercing heavy machine guns and vehicles with reinforced plating.
Iranians dont take them prisoners and kill them int he encounters, smugglers also execute their victims..
as for this clip in the video I have seen more emotions on our road crossings.
all the dick flailing pompous ranting by fellow posters reminds me of guests in the Indian programs where everyone is competing shouting out how he will punish Pakistan.
Are they speaking Farsi?
what kind of superiority complex?Once I had a conversation with Iranian military officer and believe me they are suffering from superiority complex.

Reserves and FC can probanly beat the IRGC. You're right. Why thin the defenses. The only mistake we Pakistanis ever make is taking scenarios as Hollywood movies. Why do you think Pakistan Army would ever waste its strength on the Iranians? You're talking much about tactics but you ignored the point that even in a fictional scenario, moving troops towards Iran in a full fledged war means thinning the defensive layer on entire Eastern flank against India.
Also, I don't think we can wipe their Army. Both Armies are going to be wiped into this. Israel or US aren't scared of their bigass missiles, they had none in 80s. Then what stopped US from launching counter revolution? The only difference that Iranian population is very different from ours. They're crazy people who won't mind sending their 7 year old kid into the battlefield while our population is different in nature. A war between IR and Pak is never happening but your fictional scenarios even in terms of tactics make no sense. Iran Iraq was a horrible war but you ignored the fact that it wasn't the Iranian Army that won, it was the volunteer force a.k.a IRGC which even had child soldiers running on minefields for clearance so the actual combatants don't die without fighting the Iraqis.
The only thing that saved Saddam from losing cities were Chemical weapons through which he gassed the shit out of Iranian soldiers who were fighting on Iraqi soil.

What tactics were the iranians or iraqis employing during the iran iraq war. As far as i can see they were none. It was a stupid war.
By wiped out i dont mean wiping out their entire army/military. Its too big imo. What we can do is wipe out their ability to fight back. Ammo dumps, fuel dumps, logistic routes, material losses (men, AFV/IFV, artillery etc) air fields, FOBS etc. We have the ability to do that.
And should it escalate to a war, then the worst things happening to pakistan as well as its main threats are the BM and CM. Just like they did in the iran iraw war, they will probably do to us. Targetting the civil population.
