Yes you are correct he was not Def Sec then however he has been part of the think tank which has shaped foreign policy in the Af-Pak region. He is involved and his comments are valid.

India is the financier of terrorism and pressure will increase on India to stop these games.
Chuck was a privete individual when he made those generic comments (nowhere does he talk of terrorism linked to india) , but Admiral Mullen was the top ranking serving officer in US MIlitary when he made the following, much more specific comment

Director General (DG) Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Asim Saleem Bajwa on Thursday said that India had been playing a dangerous game by resorting to unprovoked firing across the Line of Control (LoC) and the consequences of these violations ‘would not entail any goodness’.

He said that India was funding the Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) in the Federally Administered Tribal Areas (Fata) and Balochistan.

Speaking at a news conference at the ISPR, he said that India was following a planned propaganda and violation of agreement regarding Line of Control (LoC) was a part of that.

He said that the Operation Zarb-e-Azb was continuing with success and most of the North Waziristan had been cleared. The DG ISPR said that the cooperation between Pakistan and Afghanistan for the elimination of terrorism was going strong.

Giving details of the group involved in the attack on the Army Public School (APS), Peshawar, he said it was a 27-member group of which 12 were arrested, 9 terrorists were killed in the encounter while the rest were still at large. “The security forces were hot on the trail of the remaining six terrorists,” he said.

He said that the Pakistan Army was conduction operations in the areas adjoining the Pakistan-Afghanistan border. Bajwa said that the group involved in the Peshawar attack had been identified.

The APS attackers reached Peshawar in two separate groups. The militants reached Jamrud and stayed there for at least four days in a house, he added. Both the groups got together in the morning and attacked the APS. Group commander Ateequr Rehman had been caught, he added. A confession video of Ateequr Rehman had also been released. Bajwa said that the name of the commander of the other group was Taj alias Imran.

Commander Hazrat Ali, resident of FR Peshawar, collected funds for the attack. The person whose house they stayed at in Jamrud had also been arrested, he added. DG ISPR said that at least six terrorists had also been arrested in Afghanistan. He also said that as many as nine militants involved in the attack had been killed. He said that the terrorists Mullah Fazlullah and Umer Ameen had been staying in Afghanistan.

DG ISPR said that terrorist Sabeel provided transport to the attackers and one group out of two resided at a house on the back of the APS.

While answering a question, he said that the top most demand of Pakistan from Afghanistan was the custody of Mullah Fazlullah. He said that at least 122 people including mostly women and children were killed in Meena Bazar Peshawar.

While answering a question about the establishment of military courts, he said that as many as 12 terrorism-related cases had been referred to the military courts by the provinces. He said that the military courts would shoulder the responsibility put on them. Not a single Pakistani opposed punishing militants, he added.

DG ISPR said that India was funding Taliban in Fata and Balochistan. He said that a banned outfit could not operate on such a big scale unless foreign powers were funding it.

He expressed the resolve that Fazlullah would soon be killed. India had been conducting illegal activities in Pakistan for a long time, he added. Bajwa said that if need be the number of military courts would be increased. He said that terrorists beheaded at least 12 officials of Frontier Corps (FC). He said that the communication among intelligence installations had been improved.

At least 1942 operations were conducted in entire country with the help of intelligence agencies after the APS attack, he added. DG ISPR said that India was violating the agreement with Pakistan on the Line of Control (LoC). Bajwa said that India was following a planned propaganda which could be quite dangerous.

He said that extremism in India had no parallel with that in Pakistan. He said that the stance of Pakistan on drone attacks was evident. To a question, the ISPR chief said over 2,000 terrorists had so far been killed in operations Zarb-e-Azb and Khyber-1.

He said 226 army personnel were martyred and 823 injured. He said that most parts of North Waziristan and Khyber Agencies had been cleared except a couple of small pockets along Afghanistan border.
Replying to a question, the DG ISPR said the gang busted had linkages with other incidents of terrorism including in Rawalpindi, Peshawar Meena Bazar attack and attacks at Tarnol and an Imambargah in Peshawar area.

India is behind Pakistan TTP.

A person with delusional disorder or paranoid disorder cannot tell what's real or imagined. This is a serious type of mental health disorder called psychosis.

The mental health charity Mind says someone with delusional disorder is likely to have a complex, paranoid, but untrue, idea that puts them in conflict with those around them.

Even laal Topi claims he is a think tank. So much for think tanks and their opinions.

Can you tell me what is the motivation for India? What is it that we want from you that we will go to that extent to damage your country? You are full of B.S.

We are not even claiming any of the occupied lands and we don't need your markets to survive.

First u creat it. Then when it comes to bite you on arse. You point finger.

This article is waste of time. Change your perception india is not involved these people are just diverting your question to foreign powers.

"Consequences if Pakistan keeps playing with fire at LoC" --- This seems to be a more apt title for discussion & it's weird to see Pakistanis behaving as if they are another Russia.

Is that the best proof that pakistan can come up with? that's not proof my friend that's a lame supposition. I hope he didn't figure all that by himself...hehe.

Btw, could it be remotely possible that the shiekhs who are funding isis and aq and boko and taliban are also behind funding TTP too?

Ps. his name rhymes with something hilarious.

Pakistan should go ahead and teach lesson to India :D

They are trying to play our diplomatic game..A diplomatic offensive. Poor sods haven't learnt that aren't smart enough to win against India. They haven't figured out that pakistanis are known for terrorism all òver the world...The word terrorism is synonymous with Pakistan.

Anyone thinking Islamic jihadis think of pakistan first.

. .
Dunno why people are so surprised when India is just doing to Pakistan what pakistan has been doing unto India. The game is only going to intensify. Pakistanis, deluded by the false bravado, unnecessarily provoked India by orchestrating mumbai. See what India did... your army had to go in for operation after operation with the latest one being zarb-e-azb. Did that bring a stop to the terrorist activities in pakistan? no... What is the cost involved in one operation? What is the cost to rebuild the damage? How much toll is it taking on the economy? What is the figure of collateral damage? The collateral damage is only going to give more reasons to the tribals who lost their family members in PAF bombings, to support those factions against the armed forces. Despite all this, the LoC remains largely peaceful barring some sporadic violence which is being replied to in an appropriate manner...while on the other side, bonfire is being lit.

but your former prez said that ISI and Army created Taliban now I am confused if they are creating them or killing them
Thank you for reading my post and replying to it. In my humble opinion the Taliban that our former president claims to have been created by Pakistan were created after USSR left Afghanistan. Those Taliban brought peace to Afghanistan. They are now fighting Gorilla war in Afghanistan. TTP or Taharik-a- Taliban Pakistan is a terrorist organisation which our brave army is fighting within Pakistan. I was referring to that. I hope this clears your confusion.
