Jaipur: If Facebook is to be believed, Rajasthan chief minister Ashok Gehlot is more popular in Turkey’s
capital city Istanbul than in his home state Rajasthan. Gehlot’s surging popularity, brought to notice by
Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) state spokesperson, has been dubbed as the ‘social media scam’ by his
adversaries.
Saffron party spokesperson Jyoti Kiran alleged that Rajasthan CM is attempting to increase his presence on
the social networking site by buying ‘Likes’ in bulk.
“Gehlot's Facebook page, operated by a dedicated tech team, had 1, 69,077 Likes until June 1, with the
highest number of 'Likes' coming in the week of May 5.
However, the number jumped to 2, 14,639 by June 30, which also overtook May 5 as the most popular
week, Kiran said. Until June 1, Gehlot's 'most popular city', a feature that shows where most followers
come from, was Jaipur. But after the jump in Likes, it changed to Istanbul,” Kiran was quoted observing by
the Indian Express.
Kiran explained that Gehlot had roped in services of IT companies which sold ‘likes in bulk.
“Gehlot has hired IT firms in Istanbul to increase his profile status,” Kiran claimed.
When contacted by publications, Congress party spokesperson Archana Sharma termed the allegations as
‘baseless’, ‘telling that likes could come from anywhere, be it Istanbul or US’.

congressi tactic at its best (pun intended). they are like snakes.

Its the same trick used by the Narendra Modi to boost his image

The likes are genuine, as the CM had said he will give his life to stop demolition of Gezi Park because a spelling mistake in his press brief make it look like Gandhi Park.

LOL u indians dont have a basic knowledge of geography n u r asking me to get lollipop:rofl:

Istanbul is the largest city of turkey. Its normal to confuse it as the capital because its the most mentioned city in global news when it comes to turkey like new york in america but its actually washington D.C. nothing to be childish about it. Everyone makes mistakes and geography isn't every bodies taste
