CONFUSION of TEJAS'S RADAR

GUYS
for a past few days i was offline and was searching about tejas radar, colecting information from websites and friends and i came up that elta 2032 radar has very short air to air range
there are some points why it has short range
firstly
1: derby is the main air to air missile which has 50 km range
2: this is the proof as fa 50 has same radar

THEN i heard from an Indian official just by adding new material (quartz) its going to be 80 km more than double
ok i agree making it a bigger radar would increase range but it would be 50 km
this picture might explain u my bolded statement

Sorry to ruin your party but the problem is IAF quote their range for 2m2 RCS (Due to PAF use of small aircrafts.
So
Tejas range - 80 km for 2m2 target
JF-17 Range - 130 km for 5m2 target.

Guy you don't worry of about radar , we better know what to equip and as for as changes are concerned its obvious better available machinery will be used .

IAF usually take rcs of a fighter sized target as 2 sqm. Anyway at the end this AESA is gonna equip Tejas. 94 km for 2 sqm as stated in specs.

Yar chodo tejas ko.... Bahut purana concept hai..
Kuch naya karo.. Kyon bekar mein 30 saal purana design pe time waste kerna..
Better use something new..atleast that can be compared with our JF-17...cheers
