Lets be real here, Gen Ayub jumped straight into the US camp against the Soviets and Pakistan was handsomely rewarded.

Gen Zia become a willing participant in the Afghan Jihad and got tons of money for his national sacrifices.

Gen Musharraf also got involved in war on terror getting economic benefits as a result.

Currupt political parties, inept leadership and instability has meant lack of growth during democratic times.

So what keeps civilians/politicians from jumping in any group/lap for economic benefit of Pakistan? shouldn't they be more cunning/successful in this? Simple answer, these mother fuckers are not interested in Pakistan or Pakistani's welfare, all they want is power and money for themselves at any cost to Paksitan or Pakistanis.

The comparison is a slap on the face of proponents of "worst democracy is better than best martial law".
