The communist parties of China and India on Thursday vowed to strengthen exchanges and cooperation to promote a sound development of China-India relations.

The pledge came out of a meeting between Head of the Organization Department of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee Li Yuanchao and a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) Sitaram Yechury in downtown Beijing.

Li said the CPC will continue to maintain contacts at all levels with the CPI(M), strengthen experience exchanges in party building and consolidate their friendly relationship.

Yechury said the CPI(M) valued its traditional friendship with the CPC and is ready to further expand their exchanges and cooperation, so as to promote a sound and stable development of India-China relations.

Li, also a member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, spoke highly of the contribution made by the CPI(M) toward the China-India friendship.

He added that the two countries share broad common interests. Their good-neighborly friendship and cooperation will exert far-reaching influence on regional and world peace and promote stability and prosperity.

Li also briefed the guests with the activities held to mark the 90th anniversary of the CPC's founding.

Yechury congratulated the CPC on its anniversary on behalf of the CPI(M) central committee.

I believe you are talking about the Maoists. We today call them Naxalites. They are entirely different from CPI(M) who are Marxist. Either ways, a big roadblock on the road to economic liberalization. You only have to look at state of affairs in WB over the past 34 years to see their role.

Always knew that CPI(M) were a bunch of blood traitors and *******. Had Nehru not been the PM, post 62, the entire CPIM) would have been shot dead and permanently banned from re-forming again.

Ain't several states of India ruled by commies now?

In 2 states they were ruling. After recent elections they lost both.

Indian commies are stuck in a time warp. They are still in post war industrial Europe mindset. The Chinese commies has moved on and embraced capitalism and changed the face of China. Commies here tried to keep their citizens in poverty and illiterate for decades while amassing wealth for themselves and their kin; and gullible people still voted for them. Not any more.
