COAS Qamar javed Bajwa official visit to the USA

Qamar javed bajwa will depart on an official visit to the USA on 20 feb 2022 where he will meet the top US officials at the pentagon
Sounds interesting :azn:

Looks to be a sign of weakness. Why should COAS vist US, before IK has received phone call from Biden?

.
why do the 3rd world countries COAS do this for?
I rarely see western counterparts do this themselves. This habit must be last one from us next time send some one below him

.
Yes you are correct my words mean nothing.
Because logic doesn't prevail in Pakistan and amongst Pakistanis. There are no national interests vis a vi America. They have interest and Pakistan is the dog waiting for the bone from the masters table.

If only people like you understood that we have a God given right to the table. Not the bone

Our national interest would be much better served by creating law and order and eradicating corruption. Then watch this nation fly. Instead people like you think running to a inept master is the way forward.
Enjoy the pain

Last time i checked the US is still our biggest export destination and the only country we have trade surplus with. If u personally hate the west then why do u study there n work there? You go there for opportunities, the same way nations have interests and create opportunities. The US have given us humongous aid as well. We do have internal problems as u described and everyone knows them but no one can solve them, so untill then, Pakistan will play a mature role and not act like a dumb emotional teenager. Keeping good relations with all will be our masterstroke in this growing multipolar world.
The US recently indicated that Pakistan relations with china wont affect US Pakistan relations, it means they r ready to accept our relations with china and want to keep theirs with us balanced as well. So its best time for someone like COAS to visit the US.

Aid...looooool
Man you couldn't be more of a western mouth piece. Pakistan has lost a lot more than aid received.
Regarding West.. I am in the UK and spend half time here and half in Pakistan. The UK stole everything from India. Why should we be here?
What did America do for us? Regarding biggest trading partner...its also the country who's sanction made us so so weak

And you'll lose a lot more trying to be the "Asian Tiger" while in reality the only thing keeping you relevant is having China as an ally and foreign loans keeping you afloat.

And they can make you much much weaker if they desire.

You are no China, it's as simple as that.

It was the fault of Pakistani leaders for their dogsh*t level of negotiation. Our leaders should have understood how the US operates by at least the end of the 20th century and used that to squeeze as many benefits for Pakistan as they could have. Our dumbass leaders didn't even charge any money from NATO for transporting their supplies to and from Afghanistan. NATO supply trucks literally destroyed our motorways but we charged them nothing for it.

Because having good relations with the largest economy an military in the world, a nation who we have a trade surplus with, is such a bad idea. Yup, we should definitely cut off all ties.

This is mostly just personal feelings than factual information.

Hey genius, if you think you know better, do something about it, instead of yapping on a forum.

.
It is very unfortunate this trip is not necessary
As there is no real agenda what is being discussed

a) Stalled Super Cobra delivery ?
b) Stalled T-129 Helicopter Engines?
c) Discussion of the F16 V package ?
d) Release of past Pakistani Expenses , under coalition fund

Makes no real sense that Head of Army is leaving all matters of the Nation behind and making a trip to USA when there is not clear cut info available what is on table?

But would be interesting to see what develops from the visit?
We know J10C is joining up, I am pretty much sure F16V by this time is on the table but available at a full price paid in cash. something that we can barely afford and moreover we wanted something with the least strings attached we didn't want to continue relying on Americans for the next decades.

Facts, so many people writing fantasises out here, but then also complain about incompetent leadership when what they suggest is even worse.

Everyone who peddles the white dream of opposing the USA as if they are China should be given negative rating, it's a sign of mental deficiency at this point.

And also the complaints of "begging" - when you are poor and starving and cannot provide for yourself, there is quite literally no choice left but to "beg".

.
A PAF official had also meet with a US official this month, what's going on? Are we begging US again for stuff or aid??

Takes two to tango

US and Establishment are flirting with each other at the behest of the powerful F-16 lobby in Pakistan. Of course, the flirting is in the greater interest of nation and the country.

I never understood this argument of opposing X country.

The Pakistani state has diverse interests and some of our interests could align with China, others with US or Russia. We should talk to everyone. The Chinese are talking to Russians, previously enemies during USSR, and doing huge business with US. The Saudis and Emeratis are recognising Israel. But Pakistanis are worried about Aafia Siddiqui.

Worst thing is a lot of them study abroad so they should know and if not hire people who understand they systems of the west

Thankfully, geopolitics doesn't run on people's personal feelings, and instead looks atnation's interests.

Your words mean nothing when it comes to Pakistani national and regional interests.
Yep, look at where following "national interests" has gotten us: 50 years behind economically. Where we failed was we were following other nation's "national interests" and not Pakistan's because of corrupt people at every level.
