Online games have launchers, so all the game publishers have to do is watch the times, when it hits the times, you can't connect to the servers anymore.Wait how are you going to enforce this?
They can still play overseas server. I see a lot of chinese playing overseas server despite having a local version.Online games have launchers, so all the game publishers have to do is watch the times, when it hits the times, you can't connect to the servers anymore.
This is why DRM is dangerous.
Oversea servers are less censored I heard. They can still play overseas server. I see a lot of chinese playing overseas server despite having a local version.
I don't think is censorship in this case. I guess they like to match up against foreigners. Because some of the games have little to no differences, except playing on overseas server have increased lag.Oversea servers are less censored I heard.
I don't play online games so I don't know much, I only play RPG and strategy games mostly.
Man most games now are multiplayer or co-op. Nobody asks us if we want to play with other people, they just go like "Hey,everyone's making their games multiplayer,we have to make all our games multiplayer too".Hopefully developers will now focus more on Single player games with good stories instead of relying on crappy online games with micro transactions.
Although the state is infringing on the rights of the people, I think this is necessary to curb online gaming addiction amongst teens. A few days ago there was a guy in India who spent 10 lac rupees ($13,500) in PUBG from his parents bank account. A lot of similar stories can be seen across India.
But this kind of system would be almost impossible to implement in free countries.
Thankfully some devs/producers still find prestige in producing SP-focus games. That's why I always tell people to buy games like Sekiro, or currently Tales of Arise and the later Elden Ring.Man most games now are multiplayer or co-op. Banned in China for years nowPlease implement the same thing for all of social media as well. Some people need a break especially on Twitter.
