CIA Director Burns Made Unannounced Visit To Pakistan.

Thanks but no thanks; US can work with India and ask them for bases for mutually beneficial relationship.

Sure, but let us see what the people making the choices decide on both sides.

As I said; if anyone in Pakistan, regardless of their position or institutional affiliation, if will go behind Pakistanis this time would be committing treason. This country has been played with for far too long.

Let us see what the people making the choices decide, given what you say above. I am sure they are aware of it.

Yes but the vested interests will never miss the opportunity in an effort to put Pakistan on the backfoot.
Apparently that PML N goon, Raja Zaffar-ul-Haq is barking around saying that Pakistan has been training Hamas militants.

When did that happened? And I thought he is among the very few decent ones among that kabarkhana.

I know Palestinians paratroopers were there in last 23rd march parade.
Whatever serves Pakistan's national interests the best, obviously according to how Pakistan defines them as a sovereign nation, of course. (The other side will do the same.)

Unfortunately, Pakistani civil society must keep the vigil as those sitting on top cannot be trusted in negotiations with the yanks. This nation has been sold very badly for some very petty short term gains and mostly personal gain by very few.

Wish yanks will be selling their mothers for few rupees or yuan more probably.

This government is another replica of Mushraf times...I thought Imran khan will not agree but it seems negotiations going on to for use of pakistani bases by American military once again as reported by Network times ...this will be the most famous u turn by IK which is hard to believe

Maintain policy of no bases
Nothing is wrong with hosting foreign military. Countries great and good with far greater pride like Turkey, Japan, UK, South Korea, UAE host US military bases. However the crucial factor is they must converge with your national security goals. Being used by USA to instal Pakistan hating groups in Kabul is certainly not the case.

However if the following provision is met then there is nothing wrong with allowing US to use Pakistani base -

  • any attacks inside Afghanistan are signed off by Pakistan. That is every flight/mission is okayed by Pakistani officials on the ground.

This would mean Pakistan would NOT allow any US attack on Taliban and only okay attacks on AQ, ISIS and other Islamists outfits that pose threat to western targets.

Why this sh!thole is even allowed audience in Islamabad?

American establishment is among the top enemies of Pakistan, and its most potent arm, CIA , is the single biggest reason of hatred that exist between Pakistan and America. This terrorist organization is fully responsible for over 70k Pakistani citizens death since 9/11, working alongside Indian RAW and Israeli Mossad to spread terrorism/destabilisation within Pakistan, using Afghan NDS as their front office. All the different facets of fifth generation warfare, be it economic strangulation, sponsorship of compromised/corrupt/criminal so called leaders within Pakistan, negativity and anti-Pakistani narrative propagation through compromised local and international media, etc etc.

Even ALOC and GLOC (supply lines) connect Pakistan directly to the conflict and they need to have a very clear and defined timeline of wrap up.

Forget about any facility given to yanks, this will perpetually bind Pakistan to conflict and its effects on Pakistan and its citizens. Should have learned a thing or two by now after sacrificing 70k citizens in this nonsensical war of terror.
Lend your ears to all, voice to none.....

That clout which existed post 11/09/01 is gone. The world has significantly changed and its no longer tilted in one direction. Which is great. We dont have to heed to their demands anymore. Gone is that arrogant tone. Pakistan will not give its base so aidue.

When he turned up this sign should have been shown to him;

His boss certainly tried that approach, but I guess it didn't yield much when it comes to this major part of their foreign policy.

Let Lloyd come back and ask in person.

Let us see what decisions are actually made this time around in light of what you have said above.
Let Lloyd come back and ask in person.

There will be many visits by both sides as part of the overall process.

Establishment must think about yank attack on Salala and deliberate drone strikes on civilians which provided sympathy and recruiting grounds to TTP, not to mention US's passionate efforts to destabilize Pakistan (they used to predict fall of state, new maps, and how to takeover nukes etc.) which costed thousands of lives and billions of dollars in economy, this isn't something which we can forget, Military will loose respect and public support if they tried to sell country again on name of national interests.

It depends on who the public is made to believe is making the decisions, right?

. . .
Also what's wrong with providing bases to US for surveillance. This will ensure that terror organizations like TTP and ISIS are crushed in Afghanistan.

At the same time US bases in Pakistan ( Balochistan) will ensure no more terror attacks in Balochistan by India, as they ll be given a shut up call, as US military would be directly present.

We can also have some sort of understanding where Pakistan can do the real time monitoring of border areas via US hardware and keep them in the loop.

Its all about negotiations. Diplomacy is an art. Most people who are apposing it dont even know why they are opposing it.
