DENVER — Raymond Davis, who was charged with killing two men in Pakistan as a CIA contractor but was later released, was arrested in October of 2011 a fistfight at a shopping center in Denver.

On Friday, a Denver judge will finally hear his case and decide whether a trial will proceed in February.

Davis was charged with second-degree assault and disorderly conduct after allegedly getting into a fight over a parking space at an Einstein Bros. Bagel shop in the Highlands Ranch Town Center.

The incident began as an argument between 37-year-old Davis and 50-year-old Jeff Maes and then turned physical. Davis is accused of causing back and other injuries to Maes in the altercation.

Davis was also charged with killing two men in Lahore, Pakistan, in January 2011. He was released in March after the U.S. government paid $2 million in compensation to the dead men’s families.

U.S. officials originally said Davis was a diplomat and tried to claim diplomatic immunity but then revealed that he was a CIA contractor.

Davis said he killed the two men in self-defense, though Lahore authorities called the case “clear-cut murder.”

Did he pull out a gun again? Hope not, else he'll have to shell out maybe 2 million bagels as blood money.
Habitual offender this guy seems to be.

. . .
So a fist fight in bagel shop has more chance of sending him to prison than a double murder in streets of Pakistan?
