Christian girl ‘not allowed’ to use school washroom in Faisalabad

ISLAMABAD (Staff Report) – A school going girl was not allowed to go to ‘washroom’ at her school premises for being a non-Muslim in Faisalabad, said Senator Sherry Rehman on Tuesday.

Addressing in the upper house of parliament, senate, she claimed that headmistress of the school forbade a christian girl from using the toilet being used by other ‘Muslim’ fellow students. The teacher also called that girl a ‘Kafir,’ which means non-believer in English and is often used offensively, she said.

Afterwards Chairman Senate Raza Rabbani ordered Leader of the House to present a detailed investigation report about the incident in next hearing.

This is the case of bigot teacher should be sacked immediately. This type of incidents are rare and often single individual involved not a wide spread in our society but Govt should take it seriously and make a lesson for other bigots in the country.
Dear O.P thanks for sharing but it will become battle group soon, Indian will use this as a ground to launch attacks on Pakistan and counter attacks also possible.

Persecution of minorities is not a "rare" events. Pakistan has one of the worst track records in the world as far as minority persecution is concerned. Window dressing to make ourselves look good in comparison to India has always prevented us from identifying and rectifying structural flaws in our society.

The treatment to the girl was unjust and inhumane. School staff prohibiting her from using the washrooms should be penalised for that.

Having said this.................. this was discussed in senate by a senator and chairman asked for a detailed investigation report on this? Great.

Only most of the attacks reported on Ahmedi / Qadianis because of their stubbornness to claim themselves Muslims and using Islamic terms which is forbidden for them as per constitution.

I agree here fully. These excesses against minorities are not just giving us a bad reputation but destroying the trust that exists between Christians and Muslims in Pakistan for generations. We need a strong mechanism to protect our minorities better.

Sorry but its against my nature to turn a blind eye on these issues, I am against treating people because they belong to diff caste, religion etc... One must not run away from reality and we all know that their are people like this principal within our society.... forget about trolls... they are every where.. Peace

I don't like it but I tend to agree. As a citizen what is our duty? To stay quiet or present the case in every sphere so that someone-possibly someone who does not have a bigoted view of Christians deals with the problem and provides support to the innocent victim.

The thinking that we by raising issues in our society are anti Pakistan or against our country is not only wrong but very unfair to thousands of patriots. As a writer I see it as my duty to not only raise my voice for women like Rinkle Kumari and Rimsha Masih but to also do everything to get them justice. @Ifrit we love our country as much as you.

1) They should sack the stupid teacher ...Schools are no place to teach BS!
2) Toilet is a basic need...Wonder why the teacher thought its his/ her duty to become the toilet fairy!
3) teacher should be sacked - transfer is not even an option!
