That's awesome that CCTV1 was shooting footage of the riots and you could see it on TV.

Maybe you can point us all to some of their hours and hours of footage instead of us relying on snippets of Western footage...since as you are inferring there was all this openness and free access by the press.

There are tons of Hong Kong footage widely available...same should be true for footage back in 1989.

I saw Tankman's footage first on CCTV 1, most western footage about the riots barring from comments and interviews done in US are a collection and patchworks from Chinese national TV news channels.
