just like you said it depends more on international environment and less on our domestic wishes.if it will be in our favor to provide base to a super power (american turning more hostile than usual) you will see chinese in gawader otherwise i think max we are going to do is buy common ships like type 54 from china with some tot (which will be sponsored / financed by them) and in return we will provide their indian ocean patrols with refueling and maintenance services.

Hi,

Well the definition of sovereignty is the authority of a state to govern itself. In this instance I mean if a foreign military constructs a base in an area (anywhere in Pakistan) then that military will likely not be binding to follow the laws of Pakistan but will likely follow the laws of their own land.

Pakistan has a standing government which is in control of the land, by letting the Chinese build a base in Gwadar then that piece of land will no longer be governed by Pakistan.

It was then but it's not now. Pakistan's foreign policy has changed; no foreign military or group is allowed to operate from Pakistani soil, except from the UN Peace keepers.
We have been enslaved for long enough and it's about time that we learn from our mistakes, why do you want to repeat a mistake by giving a base to China?

How can you possibly give me any guarantee when you don't hold any major position in the military or government? Being best friends does not mean selling your self, I have a limit... I don't know about you.
