You hear alot of talk from Chinese that Vietnamese monkey can't make squat. They can't make nothing...etc.
Why Chinese fake made in Vietnam products for? Is made in Vietnam product superior? Can you tell your Chinese fellows stop faking made in Vietnam.

With Vietnamese consumers turning their back on poor quality Chinese goods, many made-in-China products are being distributed in the Southeast Asian country under fake labels claiming they are locally manufactured.

The fake products can easily dupe consumers as they have attractive and eye-catching designs and packaging, according to an official from a government-run committee that combats smuggling and trade fraud known as Committee 389.

“The substandard products are sold to Vietnamese consumers at high prices and without warranty,” the official said. “They dampen the domestic manufacturing sector.”

A wide variety of Chinese products are being sold as ‘made in Vietnam,’ from footwear and cosmetics to consumer appliances and electronics.

The counterfeit products either have their made-in-China stamps and labels replaced in Vietnam, or have the bogus labels stamped upon them during the production process in China, according to Committee 389.

The Ho Chi Minh City market surveillance agency has recently detected a batch of products including more than 3,000 items of clothing, footwear, purses, and mobile devices. The products were stored in large sacks and have famous brand names such as Nike, Gucci, and Versace.

But officers found that around 1,500 pairs of Nike shoes have made-in-Vietnam labels placed along with stamps saying they were actually manufactured in China.

Committee 389 has also caught four trucks carrying 100 tons of goods from China to a northern province.

The products, including apparel, motorbike parts, electric bicycles and home appliances, were all made in China but many of them feature fake Vietnamese-made labels, according to officials.

Some of the home appliance products even have the fake labels saying that they were made in Hanoi’s outlying district of Ha Dong and bear bogus conforming-to-regulations stamps.

It is much easier to alter the product origin for products like clothes and footwear. To turn a Chinese shirt into a made-in-Vietnam one, all it takes is placing a fake label on it.

Most of the products available at Kim Bien or An Dong markets in Ho Chi Minh City are Chinese-made, but traders always claim they were manufactured locally.

The Ho Chi Minh City market surveillance agency has seized thousands of fake labels of Vietnamese and famous international brands from traders at Tan Binh market who placed them on Chinese products to dupe consumers.

why is the packaging in English?
Vietnamese use latin characters and they accustom with english words. It is normal many Vietnamese brands and packages have a lot of english. Vietnamese see english as trending. That can explain many products Vietnamese bear english name.

It is usually the local sellers doing the labeling. In Taiwan, we also have these local sellers.

Sunsuivi apologizes for selling Vietnam rice as local

TAIPEI, Taiwan -- Rice seller Sunsuivi (山水米) yesterday apologized for mislabeling imported Vietnamese rice as being locally grown.

Some 50,000 packages of mislabeled rice have been sold.

Sunsuivi, one of the three top-selling rice brands in Taiwan, sold the rice with labels boasting that the product is home grown, but it was actually poor-quality rice imported from Vietnam.

Oh so now you even blame Vietnamese by came up with an idea that it was Vietnamese made the label. What about the products inside?

The Chinese never admit anything. With or without evidences. Similar like spratly and paracel islands.

Vietnamese sellers they aint have that kind of luxury to make label those fake products. The Vietnamese sellers find the cheap products to sell for high return. They careless of where it is made, and how is it made. They only sell. They are not gonna invest in label things.

So has Vietnam surpassed Kenya in science yet?

lol, this is out standing. Vietnamese are good people, so close to super power status, but decided to back off instead. You should put that as your signature so in the future people can know of your honorable choices.

Well the truth is in science you are ranked behind Kenya while we are ranked 2nd only to the US. Note that your GDP per capita is double that of Kenya and so is your population. Scientific strength is a direct reflection of industrial strength. China sends people into space, calculates faster than 100000 human brains with the Tianhe supercomputers and collides particles to explore the deepest mysteries of quantum mechanics. What does Vietnam do? Any proof from non-Viet papers that Chinese would mislabel things?
