From the OP video we can't get any details about this event and who they represent to do this job in Pakistan, i found another recent video some Chinese community raised two trucks of food(rice, flour and various of other food) and delivered to a Pakistani village of 120 households as Chinese donations.

The protection suits they wear were bought by themselves for their safety protection, it's not a sign of disrespect to the locals.

On an individual level it is the case, but when you do it as an organization, community, it motivates others to do the same or if they can't then at-least contribute in a good cause. So there is very fine line between the two, one is for show-off or political gains other is for raising/motivating a sense of empathy among the people to do more for others.

Also when you advertise your community organization or nation by plastering your flag, name etc it may look like a propaganda stunt to an outsider. Like when Pakistan decides to donate or assist Nepal for earthquake it may look like a show-off or political gain from Indian point of view same thing when India does with Afghanistan it may again look like a propaganda from Pakistan point of view. Had the aid been donated anonymously then all this propaganda nonsense would have been avoided.
If you want to encourage donation then their are many other ways by bringing awareness then showing off.
Their is no difference between an individual plastering his picture and name on donation or a nation doing the same.
Publishing is not allowed according to islam and anonymity is the way to go.
Also like i stated earlier, if an afgani's relative was killed due collateral damage by pakistan's strike then that poor man feelings would be hurt when accepting donation from that country (this example applies to all the nations ).

Now one could argue, why didn't the Imam run away? Many behind him ran away and it's totally allowed in Islam to break your prayer and protect yourself during circumstances like these. But it's also about principled stance and belief, one could choose not to run away.

If you want my opinion of the video then its more of a show off stunt then anything else. No where in Islam does it say that if death is approaching DO NOT abandon your prayers. Muslims also have not grasped the concept of life that it is very precious where you have to leave your ego and "principles" behind when it comes to survival.
heck, pork is on the top list of haram for muslims to avoid but yet commit bigger sins. Also in survival situation YOU MUST DO ANYTHING to survive! suicide is HARAM so to say that i am not going to eat pork because I have my principles and would rather die is plain stupid.

As for bowl of rice.
First of all put yourself in the shoes of those people standing in line. NO ONE forced them and neither were they mislead into believing that they are getting a month of food supply and they new exactly when they are getting because they have NO OTHER better option. either go to bed hungry or have something in your belly.
Being a poor and refusing to accept food because you have your "principles" is nothing but arrogance.

Didn't bother to read it. I assumed the issue would have been sorted by my last reply but my assumption was wrong. It's pointless arguing and I'll block you now.
