I think this is a bit too blatant and probably should be discouraged by the Chinese Government. I think Chinese Government should subtly hint that if Chinese people feel disgruntled by American tariffs, then they should use 'other' ways to let US know their displeasure.

Just like Chinese public shunned Japanese and Korean products and services in recent years, after Diaoyu Island and THAAD deployment disputes, respectively. Chinese people should stop buying anything American and, particularly, stop watching American movies. Avoiding American movies is a good thing, regardless of trade dispute. Just trash and American propaganda.

.
Not a good idea. American tourists who visit China actually contribute to its tourism revenue and by extension, its GDP ... even more so for Americans who work in China.

. .
this is not serious, it's a gesture.

Wouldn't any American tourists who saw that just go to another shop that isn't adding the 25%?

I agree with you though, it's a symbolic gesture expressing the shop owners feelings on the US tariffs.

And their automobiles and sport products.

Stop traveling on their airliners which cannot even respect China's territorial integrity.

Would USers travel on an airliner that lists California or Texas as a country?

Many Americans in China are overpaid sex predators who cause nothing but problems, and are losers back home.

It's more like an ad. Can suck:"USA is A FART"!

.
It is stupid. If you are serious in putting the hurt on Americans, why broadcast what you are going to do? Why not just keep quiet about it and overcharge by %25?

In broadcasting what you are going to do, you incur several risks. Bad publicity, negative perception to your business, alienation of customers including your fellow Chinese, and loss of revenue and profit because there is no guarantee that your fellow Chinese will replace the Americans who avoids your business.

Yes, if I am an owner of Restaurant in China I will put the same messages in front of my restaurant.

Why bother to lose 1 or 2 american customer per day from hundreds or thousands customer we serve everyday?

I am agree with that Symbolic gesture by restaurant owners, that will send a Steong messages to other Chinese that we already have a Trade war with US right now.
So we need to buy less americans product to support our Nation.

Chinese society is a very Proud and Nationalistic anyway.
Remember the Lotte case, Chinese customers really don't buy anything from Lotte shop across China that time, and bring a bankrupt to all Lotte Business all over China.
