What's new

China's state media ran an article about nuclear strikes against Los Angeles

There is out of question to let enemy has nuke supremacy over China. I believe our generals are not happy just to have few nukes.

I think China is happy to let other countries to believe the 250 nukes tale.

China has no need to declare its exact nuclear stockpile, and it would only create more nuclear escalation in East Asia, which is no good for the environment of the investment in China.

The consequence would be unpredictable that leads to the capital flight, and this is what the US wants to see.

. .
Nuclear ambiguity along with NFU helps.

Ambiguity keeps the enemy guessing.

NFU ensures the enemy that China has second strike capability.

Nuke supremacy is something China cannot not have. Too many trigger happy US lunatics over there with their finger on the trigger. Remember the Korean War.

There is no such thing as the second strike capability AFTER the enemy's nukes have landed on your soil.

Shortly after the enemy's nuclear missiles have lifted into the air, China's infrared satellites' early warning system will detect it and automatically trigger the nuclear counter-strike mode.

Short after the enemy's nuclear missiles have lifted into the air, China's infrared satellites' early warning system will detect it and automatically trigger the nuclear counter-strike mode.

So, in this case, NFU simply means that nukes won't be used a diplomacy tool, but only as a deterrent in the event that the enemy is "potentially" readying for nuclear strike?

Of course, NFU makes no difference for China, but to gain more moral high ground.

So, basically, it is all about ambiguity. I guess the main function of NFU is that it helps China to weather the pressure to disclose the exact size of its nuclear arsenal.

For the sake of the Asia's stability.

The US doesn't want a stable Asia, but to cause more capital flight from Asia to the US, just like they did create a large influx of the middle eastern immigrants to destabilize Europe and its currency.

LMAO, you got your math all wrong, in nuke war, we will deliver all to ensure the total annihilation or deliver none of the nuke , I'm pretty sure that if there is a nuke war with US, China will ensure to have the full insurance coverage of entire US, you and I will have to praise for the fate of humanity.

There is no such thing as nuke half way (few nukes) to make enemy undercook, we will rather toast the enemy if Nuke is really enter into war equation.
