Other European auto companies I can't be sure, but in spite of severe competition, German companies are selling like hot cakes here, relax!

You know Germany's largest company and largest employer Volkswagen AG suffers from a $15 billion "diesel gate" fine in US earlier this year, but gasoline-dominated China auto market is still highly supportive of it's brands like VW, Audi, Porsche, Bentley (in UK), Lamborghini (in Italy), Skoda and others, consuming more than 1/3 of its global volume. Especially VW brand, 1 out of every 2 produced in the world is bought by Chinese, VW alone occupies more than 10% of China market share, see the popularity! In luxury market segment, top selling brand is Audi, followed by BMW, Daimler-Mercedes, all three are selling very well.

My personal favorites are Porsche 918 Spyder and Mercedes AMG C63.

Yes, Saxon and Lower Saxony are two of our Federal States. The Anglo-Saxon migration to the British island happened over 1500 years ago. So, the relationship is not very close in terms of interaction amongst the commoners. But the British royal family still has close relationship with their German family members.

The Royal family is from Germany while Diana was of British stock. Although the House of Hanover has a very old link to Italy, AFAIK they have nothing to do with the Black Nobility.

The original Anglo-Saxons derived from the Low Germans, while most Germans today spoke the High German.

PS, today's Anglo-Saxons are heavily mixed with the Celts and Normans, and their language is also heavily Latinized.
