China’s Hypersonic Aircraft Fails Second Test Launch

It has succeeded, but SCMP has simply pulled the words out of their a$$.

and @cnleio you too pay attention here

i always thought why scmp would declare failure after wfb had leaked the news. was it done by government order? now see the timing, after the hainan, scmp is reporting that china has moved a step closer to creating a supersonic submarine that would travel from sanghai to san francisco within 100 minutes.

SCMP has nothing to do with the Chinese government, it was a HK press founded by a British man and a pro-KMT member.

South China Morning Post Ltd was founded by Tse Tsan-tai and Alfred Cunningham in 1903. The first edition of the paper was published on 6 November 1903.

Fail or not, China should continue to test it. Only new technology will bring China close to match our enemy, I think space warfare should be China's first priority as development.

is there any supersonic stealth submarine project for traveling from sanghai to sf in 100 mins? why is scmp reporting it now? how come scmp got that intel? or was it deliberately leaked to make a statement

SCMP didn't report it, but merely quoted it from other sources, mostly from the western sources.

But this time, even the western sources didn't cite China's HGV's failure, so it was definitely SCMP pulling the words out of their a$$.

China’s second hypersonic glider test fails as PLA trials nuclear weapons delivery system | South China Morning Post

They didn't quote from Western sources. They said it was from their own military sources.

The People's Liberation Army has carried out a second, albeit unsuccessful test of a hypersonic vehicle, two sources close to the military said, as China attempts to find a way to deliver nuclear weapons at immense speed to evade defence systems.

That's why they were pulling thing out of their a$$, even the West didn't say China's test failed.

So you don't trust their military sources? SCMP is fairly trustworthy I think, they wouldn't want to destroy their reputation by publishing uninformed gossip. It's not Apple Daily after all.

Their military source is completely crap compared to the Mainland military sources.

Sorry, even the CD forum is now downgraded to the trash level, but compared to the non-Mainland trashies like SCMP, Epoch Times, CD looks completely divine.

This is a different technology than the first test that has succeded.
Read: "The first test carried out by China’s People’s Liberation Army on January 9, was successful according to the National Defense Ministry.
The newest model is carried by a ballistic missile and then released, causing it to dive towards its target at speeds of up to Mach 10, equivalent to over 12,000 km per hour."
The Russians might have tracked the ballistic missile that have carried it and that went down in northern China, but there are no real means for tracking or detecting the hypersonic vehicle, since speed is its stealth and we are talking about Mach 10 and beyond here.

what do you think about the submarine news? this one is different a naval warfare tech. if it can go undetected to sf in less than two hours, it is a good platform

Expect China to fully disclose the information about the Type 093/094 and its improved variants.

But I don't think we will see much about the Type 095/096 until the next generation coming out of water.
